Easy to say, harder to do. Have you ever tried driving a hybrid car? Most have less than 100 horsepower. Vehicles for wussies if you ask me.

The other fact is that electric cars have been around for as long as Mikesandy has been on the planet. Only problem is there is no profit in an electric car. They keep saying they are coming (back). We'll all keep waiting for it to actually happen.

Funny how Americans only complain about gas when pump prices skyrocket, not so much when we piss away billions of dollars advancing misguided foreign policy objectives to ensure that it keeps flowing.

The speculation must be regulated since there is no shortage of fuel.

This would be a case where you could say "most, not all" Americans. There are some higher thinking Americans out there who would LOVE to see more energy efficient choices and less reliance on petrol PERIOD. :smt023

I'd kill for an electric car, or at least a hybrid!

As it is I'll be lucky if I can even manage to get a regular ass car. And now I get to buy my first car when I won't be able to afford gas. Ain't life grand.

Good news, Obama's approval rating is shooting upward in response to the country's energy problems. (49% approval/43% disapproval)

You may want to hang around the link and watch Obama's videos as they change, it's worth watching.

It's going up because Americans know that he's a better option than having Republicans control the White House and the Presidency.
