I'd definitely move for love. Everyone already knows that I lived in rural Kenya for 6mths last year with the love of my life. And I'd still be there if the government allowed a longer visa. I'm happy to live there, but I'd love to bring my dear hubby to Australia so he can see my country. In the end, we'll probably live permanently in rural Kenya though.

Thanks. And yes it is. Although, I'll admit that I have a few requirements. LOL A septic system so I can have an indoor toilet, for one. Or at least have a toilet with a freakin' seat on it. Hahahahaha!

 

I would move to a place that would provide a good environment for me to raise children. Love + Sex = Kids. I would definitely not raise them in the southern United States. I'm open to moving to other places on the globe as long as it is a democratic nation. I value my right to vote and have an opinion.

I have always thought if you find someone worthy, you have found an inestimable jewel for life, and it will forever glitter and deliver its pleasures and satisfaction till you go to your grave. I can live anywhere, I really don't care with a partner that we both share a passion and a cause. It could be as simple as raising a family, or as difficult as changing perceptions in the world.

Life is just an adventure, and a place is just another zip code. Finding a mate, and a mind that complements one is negotiable with the notion of spaces and countries. Yes, political, economic and social stability do matter. And this depends on the cause, you decide with your mate to sign up for in your lifetime.

 

Somewhere warm (that's why I love Florida so much, except for the flaky job market there), tropical. Pretty much southern Spain or Portugal, Florida, the Caribbean or the northern portion of South America. Fortaleza or Salvador da Bahia, anyone?

And as for the folks who think the US is at the apex of the human development index, we're not. We have a higher possible standard than any in the world - for those who can afford it. Our mean standard of living, on the other hand, for an average person (or society-wide) is low for the industrialized world. While other countries have their own race and ethnicity problems, they are much more honest about its existence and aggressive about tackling it, rather than paying lip service to it, saying people should just forget about the past, etc. I was particularly impressed with the UK-wide effort to stamp out racism among football fans years back. It was incredibly successful and I could not imagine anything that refreshingly honest over here. That being said, I love the UK and a lot of the culture, but I just can't handle the cold weather.

As for blacks of high achievement, the US is considered higher than other black populations because we're assumed to have more as a result of living in the US. The primary benefit for blacks in the US is a higher standard of living in terms of infrastructure and facilities (i.e. sewage/sanitation/housing/potable water). The highest median income among all black populations on earth is actually West African UK residents. They outperform all other black subgroups in education and economic achievement. That outperformance is also the case in the US, although the median income is not that high.
