You're right with your statement but specifically for the BM/WW relationship there are additional complications and conflicts that keep arising. I'm not against the purpose of the site, I like WW just like other BMs on here do also, but I just know there are additional hurdles to jump specifically with the relationship between BM and WW, at least within the United States. Thanks, Mikesandy. I'm reading the comments and I've never watched the Tyra Banks Show, so I can't comment on her preferences. However, I will agree with you that, because of historical particularities to the issue of race in the US, wwbm couplings are considered far more alarming and problematic than any other interracial relationship type. I think the majority of the bias is driven by the tension between white males and black males (overt or sublimated) about power and control in society. I'm not a big fan of Eldridge Cleaver, but the section of his book Soul On Ice bears a lot of resemblance to modern US society, in terms of the racist stereotypes about black male masculinity and their origins in slavery and the white male need to dominate black males. Now I don't think every wm or every bm is consciously or purposefully contributing to this hostility, but it is latent in most discussions of race at the national level: perceived masculinity/virility/propensity for violence of black males. It's like it's okay for a wm to have a relationship with any woman of the world that he chooses (since he's the boss, he can do as he pleases) as opposed to the "powerless" black man being relegated to accept only a wm's castoffs. European societies seem to be no more or less freaked out about wwbm than interracial coupling in general. They appear much more concerned about language and cultural assimilation into the larger society, with the exception of the European far-right National Front types.
