DING DING DING! This dude knew that BYU has a VERY strict honor code. It has NOTHING to do with race. Mormons are some strict motherfuckers(thats just how they roll lol)

The player has only himself to blame. He had scholarship offers from other schools like Washington, Wash St &Gonzaga. If he wanted to drink & have sex with co-eds he should of went to one of those schools instead lol.

 

I can't get into the brotha's head about why he chose BYU...but, there must have been a good reason. Perhaps, it was the best uni to serve as a steppingstone to the NBA. I don't know. But, I only started this thread to show the absurdity of it all. How can a college like that exist today, and be so controlling as to prohibit having sex in privacy with your boo.

Kid Rasta, there is nothing racist about a school simply enforcing its moral codes. Davies chose to attend BYU, therefore he's obligated to follow the school's ethics policies. Common sense.

Exactly, this what I posted in other thread. Tho I disagree with their policy, he knew what he was getting into. I am with Iggy on this one, if he could not keep his dick in his pants and abide by their 12 century rule then he should not have signed with them.

 

utah is another planet...it is like getting off the plane and walking into the stepford wives...if you all think that the government controls the private sector in your state then just move to utah and then you will be glad you live where you do...they don't play there...the state is run by the church...there is no separation of church and state...

 

I'm not sure how anyone could view the school poorly in this case. The kid knew the code and he broke it. It's not the first time it's happened. If anything, BYU should be commended for not giving an athlete preferential treatment.

As for the kid, I think he's from Provost and probably wanted to stay close to home.

...just saw this story on good morning america...they also interviewed a football player that was suspended a few years ago from BYU due to getting his girlfriend pregnant...he went on to play in the NFL for 5 years...no one is presenting this spin but on the verge of march madness this 6'9" player gets suspended and he is a media sensation that will more than likely continue through the playoffs...all of this attention certainly can't hurt his professional career in basketball
