wanted to work in M&S in town but too many eyes and ears in town, plus the transport can play up sometimes getting to town, a job closer to home is better suited to me where no one knows me lol

No, you aren't the only one, and I'm in class with the instructors from HELL. How can something so easy (Take a photo) take forever. I am a confrontation learning. I'm the type of person you actually have to show (beyond a doubt) the information that you are presenting.

Open ended comments remarks, personal observation. do not work well with me as far as fact. "I know a person who........." is a wasted statement to me.

It's Hard to get taken seriously when you have a child with a disability and you have to tell a potential employer about them as it is quite likely you will be called away from work slightly more often.

I have a NVQ level 2 in customer service and was a Branch/Depot Manager for a plant and tool hire company.
I'm certificated in PASMA alloy access, handling exsplosives, PAT/Electrical testing, Chainsaw Handovers (something by law you have to have to hire them) plus a load of product training for site handovers and so on.

It was competitive, it was hard work but in all the years I worked for them I think I only missed my Target 3 times max!
With all the costly training under my belt I should be able to find something in that area easy, but 2 problems
    1, I'm a single parent
2, one of my Children is disabled and employers descriminate:smt009
I never had a female member of staff under me so all my assistants were men;) I miss that!

I'm at Asda and I will be honest when I say, I don't like there working practices and the way they deal with people and to be honest working with alot of women is no fun at all.
Plus I prefer Tesco lol or Sainsbury:D
    But hey hooo

i worked with special needs children ( ironic aint it ) and ive tried schools, hospitals etc and they all tell me the children in thier care require consistancy from the adults looking after them

there building a huge asda round the corner from me, im contemplating applying for them

Well it's a job at least, I originally applied for 20 hours and got it, but went for the induction and was told that I would have to cover other peoples Holiday and a probability I would work both days of the weekend alot, but rotas would change, (no consistency) I don't think they took in what having a child with a disability meant, anyway I said I couldn't work long term in that manner (just wanted some set hours), so I was offered 5 hours which is a bit shit.

There interview process is quite interesting, a group of 12 it was 2 teams against eachother, I quite naturally was voted team leader
We had to market a product in a way that wasn't offensive, eye catching and stayed true to the products claims.
The other team had food can't remember what, but ours was a room freshener lol

We were given just 25 minutes to finish and we had to pitch it (I pitched it!) and we won!!
it was fun but different so be prepared.

QFT!!!, i prefer working with men if im honest, very little of the time i get along with women, alot of the girls in places i have worked are bitchy, back stabbing and love to spread lies, infact when i was with my mum at this dentist she went to once it was all girls who were assistants etc young girls, and you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, they was all stroppy, could tell arguments were frequent there

Yep, know what you mean, although blokes can be nasty too, except it's more upfront, at the monthly Managers meetings I had some bloody nasty shit said to me all the time, just cause my Branch always did well and I was a bitch at making sure they didn't hog prime pieces of kit so they could get all the revenue from em. :smt106

One of the lifting gear techs who had a tude with me unplugged a charging scissor lift while It was fully extended (I was testing it, ready to go out) and I was on top of it 30ft, he was just bitter as I'd taken over the branch at Tonbridge then and he thought he was gonna get the job.

But at least they come out and tell you what the problem is, so you can go from there.

What's really annoying about it is the same women who call me or any of the other men women bashers should know better. The amount of times the men praise the women on here here should be enough for them to see how much we really love them(most of them anyway). The oversensativity needs to stop. Its like if one of you said something about bm you knew or bm in general and one of us called you a racist because if you've put in enough time people should know better.
    That's all I'm saying.
