Not really. Coming from a class society like England you should realize that people should live according to their means and those of like means.

When a whole bunch of lessers moves somewhere (formerly) upscale nothing good comes of it, believe me I know.

As long as they are making the house payments why do they care.

What they should care about if they can't and the property value will continue to go down.

We may have a class society.....but if we got the money we can still live wherever we feel like.
If you pay for it, that's the end of it.

If snobs don't like it, put up or shut up.

What a bunch of snobs you all are, you've condemned people because of there price range and there colour, I'm shocked:eek: what hypocrites lol

Its not even about race or color since the people complaining are black too. The people already there are upset about the increased garbage and the kids hanging outside all hours of the night and the disrespect for other people's property in a word niggerish behavior(save it pc police it is what is)

Color's got nothing to do with it, I wouldn't want to live near meth-smoking hillbillies either.

If black folks shared my values, welcome. If you want to make the neighborhood a real-life rap video, not so much.

    This isn't a race issue it's a class issue.

As a home owner myself, I can tell you this - it does not stop there.
You can pay the mortgage all day long, but if you do not take care of the property - all your neighboring houses value will go down due to your carelessness of your property.

Same about people that have people hanging out day and night and play loud music etc - all of a sudden, you are a freaking prisoner in your own home - and the value goes down... and you don't even enjoy being there anymore as some people have decided to invade your right to sleep at normal hours of the night etc. And its not anything easy to resolve either.

So no, paying on time is far from enough.

Having that said, this stuff may go on in pretty much all social economic groups and just because you are from the inner city doesn't equate to having these type of behaviors, I wanna make it damn clear before someone jumps down my throat.

I think its great that more people are having a chance to buying a house, I'm all for it. Heck, my neighborhood was up in the 700s right before the collapse. I wouldn't have been able to buy my house if it wasn't for the collapse (granted, no foreclosures in my neighborhood).

But owning a house really do come with a responsibility other than paying - on time. Thats the only point Im making here.

    lol

i had a teacher that used to say that

he was black and the class was generally black...and he used to use that term as a way to get people to act more civilized.

he was pretty old school, but i see why he would use that.

as for the neighborhood going down, what else did people expect? everyone's happy that a lower-income family can move into a swank area, but are not realizing that their lifestyle doesn't match the lifestyle of people that had money for a while.

    Very, very true, FG!

That's something I don't think a lot of people realize until they own a house. It's just me in my house and it's a lot of work to keep up by myself, but I know that if I don't do it (or, more correctly, hire some of my buff landscaping male friends to do it), it's going to reflect on the houses around me, and I don't want that.

Only low-class people would have a problem grasping that concept.
