Agreed. Africa is not a backward bush full of hyena and lions as dumb Americans would like you to believe. Their major city's are very modernized and you meet many white Europeans even Americans living there. Sure there are ppl who live in hut, don't have clean water or electricity but you have to drive a 100 miles to those rular areas. Dont beleive the media hype, go out there & visit, some of the cities infrastructure are as good as Europe.

 

Question for you, do you have any friends from Africa?, how well do you know Africa?.

Now the reality of the African situation..
Has anyone heard of an economist called Dambisa Moyo? Well according to her 60yrs ago, 30% of Africans lived in poverty. Now the number has risen to 70%. She Blames this on aid foreign goverments give to African countries. When countries are given aid, the governments get lazy, and dont do their jobs properly. They dont focuse their energies on job creation which is one of the main drivers for creating a growing an economy.They(African goverments) expect a pot of money every year, and their economies see a miniscule growth every year..Strange as it may sound she says Africa is getting poorer and poorer,because Western government keep on giving African goverments more and more Aid. She suggests that Western governments reduce their aid, and Africans put more pressure on their own governments to create more jobs.According to Dembisa Moyo, the percentage of Africans living in poverty is increasing not reducing. The current Aid model isnt working.

what do you folks think of this argument?

 

Aid to Africa is a serious problem and a scam designed to do exactly what it's doing...

Truth be told....the number of people living in poverty is increasing worldwide...epecially here in the States.

I'd love to visit Africa one day, maybe Namibia or one of the places pictured.
