I'm sure there are bi-racial kids with fucked-up names too...but I haven't seen them. Did Matrix have a white father??...No he didn't Oksanna is a COMMON Russian name.
I've witnessed it, too. My ex bf was one of the biggest mama's boys I've ever known (which wasn't exactly a good thing). Raising our sons as mama's boys can be unhealthy if taken to an extreme. Some mothers take it way too far & they aren't doing their sons any favors when they do. My son & I are close, but I wouldn't call him a mama's boy. There were times I'd find myself being overprotective since I was raising him on my own, but I've always been determined for him to understand balance & accountability so he's not at a disadvantage in life. There's no advantage to extremes imo. Btw, Lawrence is a great name.
Put it like this. A lot of black mothers (especially single mothers) try to raise their sons to be hard against a racist world but it's at the expense of love. If you are or were in the military you may look back fondly on your old drill sarge and not wish him harm but you don't love the motherfucker.
"Feminize" male names? If that's not the most retarded response you've stated thus far, I don't know what is. When people name their children with "Le" or "La" in front of their names, they're not thinking about Spanish articles at all. Plus "Le" has no gender if you actually paid attention in philology class. So your response bears nothing but utter stupidity. And there are white girls with the names like Chantel or Solange and yet they aren't ghetto or batshit. They're just as weird as someone calling their kid "Kyle or Skylar"...with the latter being all the more unconventional. You're missing the point altogether, buddy.
Matrix has the right name because he's from a different dimension from all the other mixed boys with a White father. I've been around a lot more BW than you have...and I have NEVER seen a sister give a WM's baby a clown's name..
Look fool cigar=masculine cigarette=feminine Micheal=masculine La Micheal=feminine Don=masculine Dontrelle=feminine When you put "La" in front or "elle" behind ANYTHING that word becomes feminine. Everybody knows that but ghetto mofos. Skylar and Kyle are not bitch names...try again J'Quan:smt039
Sorry BBW I would love to live in your hearts and rainbows world but FH is spot-on. I once met a white woman who named her white daughter Ashanti after the singer but you can believe that she won't carry the full cultural weight of such a name. Plus the fact names like Ashanti, Aaliyah or Latifah actually MEAN SOMETHING in Arabic, quite unlike American ghetto names made up of random syllables crashed together or Italian designer names or putting a FEMININE ARTICLE in front of a MASCULINE name.
Hahaahha, is this dumbass trying use to his edu-ma-cation skills on me? You really failed English didn't you? And you NEVER took a Spanish class either huh? Based on your kindergarten response, you can't even formulate an adequate response because you know damn well I'm right. Listen kid, take it from an expert who actually knows what he's talking about... 1. Le, La are articles of "the" in Spanish when referring to something. It's exclusive within that language. Referring to names, it wouldn't make sense at all because it's already understood that the people's names are based on family recognition. English individuals don't follow those rules when given names. 2. Your poor examples demonstrate your lack of knowledge and here's why... - Cigar and cigarette implies big and small, NOT feminine and masculine. - "LaMichael" doesn't make it feminine because the name itself is already Masculine. The article "La" is more akin to a French "masculine" article or even Italian as opposed to Spanish. 3. Skylar and Kyle are soft names by nature, thus they are "feminine" by your busted logic. So next time you want to "school" someone, you better back it up with knowledge instead of talking out your ass. Or you feel you're right because God told you so, eh Nigglette?
Oh geez, you're missing the point altogether too. This shouldn't take a rocket scientist to piece together what I'm saying as a whole. Those names, which carries history were at one point new as well. They have a meaning behind them, whether by translation or by personal meanings. The "ghetto" names sound strange because it's fairly new, thus it's something you have a hard time accepting. In a century or so, those "ghetto" names you're referring to will be more common and less stupid sounding. Names are going to be made up and give meaning altogether. This isn't a rainbow world I'm living in. This is just reality and a societal evolutionary standard. If you call that a rainbow world, what's your definition of a hellish world?
Resorting to name calling only shows you lost this argument, kiddo. I'm surprised you didn't curse me out like you normally do to others.
I don't see how he can argue about this shit. La Micheal is a feminized version of Micheal. Even a one-eyed donkey can see that.
Your reading skills are subpar. I've already explained this one, but it was overwhelmingly too much for your one-eyed brain.
That's bullshit. Names like language itself will always matter. Why do we perk up at a famous last name like Kennedy or Rockefeller. Why was Obama's name considered a liability??? In America a name is like a caste system. If you have a name like Sheniqua you are a hairstylist in the ghetto point-blank or work at Burger King. Either that or they choose a ghetto name from the resume slush pile to fill a quota to hire low-income employees Yes the above was stereotypical, but so are people. There's a reason why show business people and corporate folks change their names. To be more marketable in the mainstream, where all upwardly-mobile people want to be. I'm beginning to think you've got a messed up name IRL by your vigorous defense of them, LOL. You still my man 50 grand but what you think doesn't mean shit. There have been 20/20s where they have sent two peeps w/ same credentials out for jobs, one with American name and the other with ghetto name, guess who got called back.
