a few pounds of thickness probably doesn't really matter to me

but if you could find reports based on how MUCH they're over a healthy weight (135/140 compared to 185lbs for example), that would be more interesting

people excessively overweight due to their own doing, need to get a grip

just about all of your risks for developing an illness go up when you lose control like that

the pressure is being way under wieght to be considered pretty. for example models are higly pressured to lose wieght. janet jackson had socalled wieght problems (she talked about it on the pierce morgan show on CNN) saying that the industry was saying she was over wieght. she would do exterme things to lose wieght.

she also talked about women eating tissue paper to get the full feeling so they will not gain wieght and to lose it.

I don't feel pressure to be thin, but I do feel I should be thinner than I am. I have small bones, so my weight should be in accordance to my frame, instead I'm considered "thick".

I feel this way: if you work out and cant lose the wieght (for whatever the reason) Im pretty sure you would be still healthy and that is more important. also being happy at where you are at.

you're supposed to drink fluids before eating, and consume fiber to offset the need to eat large meals

id rather do that than eat tissue paper, lol

    as for models

here you have already skinny mothafuckas, being pressured by their handlers and companies to lose even more weight..that's really sad

magazines even airbrush skinny models to make them smaller..i remember that being a concern before

yeah and people think they can look like that. also they try to look like movie stars and dont get that those people have the time to workout because it is part of their job. they can dedicate 5-8 hours a day in working out.

Dude we all have a good idea of what healthy is fam. 5'9 240 is typically obese and we all know it.

naw. its not rare. look at charles barkely, football players. there are a lot of military people who are big but can run you out the park.

actors like Hugh Jackman, Wesley Snipes, and Ryan Reynolds get it in, when they have to buff up and get cut for roles

I remember reading an article in Muscle and Fitness, where they interviewed Jackman for his Wolverine role. I give them credit for putting in the work they do to get where they are physically, but to think that you HAVE to look like that, in order to be attractive...that can really wear on someone's psychology.

I work out when I can, between a full-time job among other responsibilities, but that's not for everyone. That's just the type of personality that I have.

exactly. in the end you have to be happy where you are. I will start working out soon.
also Im thin and I can barely get up a flight of stairs w/o huffing and puffing. there are overwieght folks that are in good shape they are not buff.

i'm overweight at 6'2, 220lbs, but i'd say without hesitation that i'm in better shape than a lot of guys fitting my vitals (or lighter), who don't exercise and diet on a regular basis.

you got sloppy overweight, and fit overweight

if that makes any sense, lol

and the football analogy is true. I've had plenty of bigger guys run faster and for longer periods of time, when I first started at 6'0, 190 lbs. I was getting smoked by 5'11, 250lb motherfuckers.

    i know, i know

they are the exception to the rule, because they play sports and many guys want to hit certain weights, to be competitive at their desired position

it's not like they just decided to get huge because they're lazy and eat all the wrong shit, which happens to be the case for other people

and for the people that sued mcdonalds and the other fast food chains, which prompted them to provide nutritional information for everything they have.......................you get a BIG fuck you

i thought it was common knowledge that fast food wasnt really good for you in general
