Love it! Thanks for the vids. I like the Somali one better than the underwear hanging out.

    That kid is mad. Cute.

Now it's the drumming that stands out rather than the dancing here :p

I'm very biased towards the lead drummer though

It's amazing, griot families who have developed their traditions over generations can play at concert halls all over the world now.

This isn't the best example of the music and skill. But since we are on white girls. I remember I think these girls had learnt the dance over a few days in a workshop that was part of a festival. So props for trying.

That style is from the Congo and as you may know lots of women can be
light but be ethnically from the Congo. These are African women doing it, I like the vid.

I think they just dubbed Eritrean song onto the video because of the 2 second spasm she had that sorta looked like she was doing Eritrean dance.

I'm not surprised you knew an Eritrean in Sweden. Next to Italy and Germany, Sweden has the most Eritreans/Ethiopians in Europe. They've been migrating there since late 50s, early 60s.

hahaha.. I didnt recognize all of i, just the "shoulder dancing" part - that might have explained it.. LOL... I had quite a few Eritrean friends in college, due to what you said - but Aster was my BFF and we had FUUUNNNNN! She even gave me a cross made out of the stone that the obelisk in Asmara was built from - I cherish it to this day, very cool.

And btw, she would be pissed if you called her Ethiopian:)

Contrary to the ignorance of some, pop locking is exclusively a California invention.

That was a fun night. Yet to see a white gyal that can seriously throw herself like that though, I love it.
