That shit is not true. They would still be under their wings. It was a glossed illusionary bit of hope. Once it was over, they would have ordered them back into their homes and treat them like shit still. You're deluded, my friend.

And Apartheid was a racist institutionalized construct designed by the very racists who created it. It was a gigantic means of maintaining order and treating the black Africans and non white ones as part of a structure of hierarchal dominance. Come on, Ruckus, you should know better than that.

Ok....so you're just guessing and assuming like I am?

But your theories are right and mine are wrong? That's nice....

Lets completely ignore the fact that not every black person in the South was a slave. They were allowed to be free if they could purchase or obtain freedom papers.
One can assume that if the whites kept their promise about granting freedom one way.....they'd keep their promise about granting freedom another way.

But whatever, guess none of that matters.....

Very few were slaves and even owned them, but regardless of how you looked at it, there was still a great deal of disenfranchised blacks who were still slaves back then or you're completely ignoring everything beyond that. Secondly, my knowledge about all this is far greater than yours. I'm just dishing it out by increments whenever you bring up half-ass comments. Lastly, the entire system was fractured and favored the ruling group, and getting those papers were available, IF the slaves back then actually had an education and could read. But no, they lacked the resources to get the proper education to even do that because of that very disproportionate institution.

But I'm having so much fun tearing this mental case a new asshole.

This has nothing to do with my point.

My point is that if they were promised freedom for fighting in the war....chances are they would've got it.

You can't disprove this, so why you're fighting so hard against this is beyond me...

I can't disprove the fact that slavery was a great means of income for the South? Yeah, you obviously lack a strong grasp of history, kiddo. Plus look at the attitude the South has carried itself since then. Why was it that after all these years, the South was last to get past any construct of maintaining long discrimination? I guess you enjoy ignoring all these points and fester your mind with illusions. Got it.

I didn't know you had to be black to know that. I thought that "40 acres and a mule" promise was common knowledge. But you can follow me around the forum calling me a black woman all you want until you get an orgasm. I for one don't not hold them in a negative light as you obviously do. Sorry but I'm not joining your anti-black woman club. I have them as friends and I will never regret that or dis-own them to be accepted by the likes of you. So stop trolling me.

What planet are you from? Seriously. There is no way to lessen the horrors of slavery by a play of words, Nico. When I read this post, I had to view your profile. You are just a teenager, but that is no excuse for such bizarre ignorance. Did your mom and dad teach this to you?:smt119

How did I try to lessen the horrors of slavery?

You didn't lessen the horrors of slavery...you attempted to. How? With this comment...

Also Apartheid is based on racism and people weren't racist back then.
Even if they were, Apartheid sounds a whole lot better then slavery

    1. You said people weren't racist back then. Nico, that's not true.
    2. You said Apartheid sounds a whole lot better than slavery.

So what if the word SOUNDS better, this so called "sound" had no impact in relation the horrendous way Africans were treated. Call it whatever, you want, the horrors will remain a constant in American history.

Besides a number of previous "tells", you are becoming increasingly negligent with your grammar and syntax.

I'll give you credit for this one, especially juxtaposed with that gay ass photo, lol, but you tipped your hand on that one. Bumping threads on "certain topics" is also not a good look.

    XoXo...

Thanks for bringing the photo of Tyler Perry. That gorgeous hunk really brightened up this thread over here. Oh my goodness, that's a handsome man. Oh and voice...so sexy. About my grammar and syntax, you are just feeling what has rubbed off on me by association and I don't apologize for that sweetie. As I've said in another thread, some of my black girlfriends have told me that I am a black woman on the inside. I take that as a compliment regardless of your obvious dislike for them. That's your issue...not mine, you pitiful soul.

Follow me to the next thread. See ya.:smt006

don't put a dash in my disown

Calling someone "sweetie" must have been one of those things that rubbed off.

Keep following that line of thought. I would love to hear you discuss the pitiful souls of Black men who dislike Black women...

    No, that was your mistake!!!

lol @ what constitutes a troll... and with respect to this, I'm not calling openh-- a troll, which is a specific set of behaviors, but I'll take a troll who can enjoy the dynamic sounds of The Marble Index over someone who lusts after Tyler Perry. I've never seen nico (previous handle included) troll.

Oh, that's so cute how you did that. You know that there was a simpler way to prove my error though...right? Nonetheless. Just follow me to the other thread. See ya.:smt006

XoXo..." I would love to hear you discuss the pitiful souls of Black men who dislike Black women..."

I'm sorry XoXo, but I won't be apart of that. There's enough division in your race as it is without you and I discussing such a sad situation. You just keep your issues on that to yourself. You have to live with that. I won't no part of it. Follow me to another thread and troll me there if you wish. Bye:smt006
