    dang dude.

man in highschool........in Kentucky mind you. I was 6'1 155lbs. And I STILL had a ball. I actually dated mostly sistaz and I'm far from light skinned. I think man it is...and has always been, the individual level of confidence.

I've always been happy to be me, and never really cared much if people thought otherwise. I've had some miss step along the way of course. But I've always had crocked teeth, I've always had a big ass forehead...and I've never 'NOT' been told I'm handsome...

That only thing I am insecure about at this point in my life is whether or not I'm being a good father...

    ...and that's really it.

Yeah, I know, Smoothie, but I don't let it phase me. I just shake my head, laugh it off & go on about my business. If folks can't deal with that, it's their problem.

Gotta disagree with you. I know plenty of women who are pretty average looking, and have hot partners due to both charm and intelligence. Granted the cuter you are the more heads you intially turn, but if you are as dumb as a bag of hammers and have zero personality, then the guy is not coming back for more.

I don't get insecure about any other women, because I don't see the point.

As a younger person though I could get insecure about those I perceived as more attractive, regardless if they were black white or anything else.

I grew out of that though.

Sometimes I notice other ww who date black men get insecure about black women. I also note black women can get insecure about white women. It makes for a big stupid bitch fest and I can't stand it. At all. What a waste of time. Some broads always gonna be hotter, smarter, richer, faster than you.Who cares? More time you spend worrying about them is less time spent on improving yourself to be the best you can be.

Personally if we are cool with each other I'd rather be friends. It's the women that really teach you the important parts of a different culture (in my case) for building a family and relationship that need to be continued and incorporated with new traditions for the sake of your man. I don't always enjoy hanging out with the expat community in Africa when there so I'd spend a lot of time talking to myself if I had a problem with black women. Ha!

Sometimes we get a bit of attitude when in the US in certain circles but I couldn't give a flying rats.

Depending on the character of the insecurity, perhaps.

That statement I lightly tossed off, of course, relates to sexual jealousy. For black men who tend not to be romantically interested in black women, they reach a type of freedom that eludes other men who cannot be in a social space without constantly checking their peripheral vision.

Trying to control a woman's movement doesn't work anyway.

With your looks (and body) i do not expect you to be insecure about anybody, they need to be insecure when they see you, i mean those African girls who want your hubby lol

How old are these couples because guys around my age aren't going to sacrafice looks for personality. Sex is just too important at this point. I'm sure once I'm older and my sex drive has slowed down then I can see how that's possible.

I know what I like, confident in myself and an independent person in my mindset, so I just live my life and pay no dirt to the haters.

I believe "white women are beautiful" because that is what appeals to me personally. Of course that doesn't mean EVERY white woman is beautiful but the one I'm interested in. :)

Why are some of these black women so self confident about such a comment in 2011 is insane.

Is there a shortage of all black love or something out there, because I don't see why such a comment bothers them when there are dudes out there that are only interested in black women.

My sentiments exactly, when a black woman says and I have heard some say it, a white dude is better, I never lose sleep over it or get worked up. Its like that's her opinion and choice as an individual, she is fully entitled to that feeling in her personal life.

Yet some turn around and want to draw assumptions from all over the place about a black man and white woman in a relationship.
