I remember one time I was watching Mr Wizard and tried one of those baking soda volcanos. When my mother got home from work and saw the mess I made she nearly choked me out. That was the last time I ever did shit like that again.

Unfortunately any act involving young blacks rhyming is considered "hip hop" instead of the minstrel shows they used to call some of this stuff out today.

There was and still some good hip hop out. Even some of the acts that mention a bit of violence. I think how you say it is just as important as the topic itself.

 

Whites are the majority, therefore, they have "better control" over their image. They can put up what they want about themselves, while we and other subordinate groups, dont have the same amount of "control" over our image that is portrayed throughout the media....

Say hypothetically speaking, 99% of blacks had clean records and the other 1% were criminals... If the media were to only push out that 1% of criminals, our image would still be associated with negativity. Even though in all reality, if you look at the percentages the overwhelming majority of us would fall under the law abiding citizens category.

When I was around 15 or so in high school I had a white friend tell me "blacks will dominate the south while whites dominate the north in the near future". I didn't understand wtf he was trying to say. Now 15 years later I see the change.
