If anything, she's more White than Black because her White mother raised her as a single parent. I feel the same way about President Obama. He was raised by his single parent White mother and White grandparents so he is more White than Black. I wonder if her dad will be coming back now that she is on an international stage.

That makes as much sense as saying that Lil Romeo or Immature were put out for young Black girls to suppress their "lighter" desires. :smt043

I think Justin Biver only appeals to people under the age of 15, anybody over that age who likes him needs to grow up, seriously.

Damn shame too. He was planing on making a comeback at the time. I do remember seeing a rerun of "The Scene" (for non-Detroiters, it was our version of Soul Train in the 70s-80s) where he was a guest.

I haven't listened to any of his crap, but I doubt I'm missing anything. At least someone I know has talent won the award.

    It was faaaaannaaastic!!!!!!!
At the pre-telecast awards we saw Buddy Guy performing w Cyndi Lauper, Maria Muldaur, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Mavis Staples and Betty Wright.

There we sat sandwiched between two gospel award winners (Israel Houghton and Kuk Harrell), I got to talk to Israel last year.. got very close to Questlove!!!!!!

The after party had The Roots, Keri Hilson and DJ Wayne G playing live. The Roots rocked the hell out of the place.. Seeing Mich Jagger and Barbra Streisand live was fantastic on top of everybody else.
    Im still starstruck!!!

Best of the year? No. Best that was nominated? Easily.

I'm a huge fan of Arcade Fire but they're lucky Kanye's CD wasn't eligible this year.

Initially I thought Kanye's album was better, but have since revised my opinion. Arcade Fire created an album that outshone everything else I've heard for quite some time.
