I have never been more clear about who I am as a Black woman[...] And who I really am is a Black woman who is struggling to make my race proud of me, who is struggling to move Black women forward in the profession I’ve chosen, and those relationships have actually helped me identify more clearly.”

I've noticed many Black women are not riding with Halle on this one and saw her claims of Black solidarity as false and only pandering for her upcoming custody battle. Why Goodlove would liken her statements to his, in the continuation of his failed argument is confounding, seeing as hers have been thoroughly scrutinized or rejected as false pandering and if she believes them; as a form of "false consciousness", cognitive dissonance, or more colloquially a case of being a tragic mulatto.

All this attributed to her because she is with her second white man in a row and had a baby by one. Black folks who fucks with White people and then go around ascribing pro Black verbiage, affirming their relationship to the Black community and discussing their former Black mates seem quite foolish, defensive, or over compensating; even more so if they are calling others self hating.

Good love, it's beyond the person's race of why you don't get along with him/her. This is evident in the American workforce, especially for some of the adults that are posters on this forum that don't really like their co-workers or have problems with them. The workplace is a hit-or-a-miss for many Americans, some people fare off well in their job, while others may have problems with their co-workers. For the people on here that explain why they have issues with the people they work with, it's mainly about their personality and the way they carry themselves, not their skin complexion/race. I have hatred for a few people that I've met of various races. It doesn't mean that I hate everyone of those races, in general. It also doesn't mean that I hate myself.

In Jamaica, they call it "browning" and in certain parts of Africa they had to outlaw bleaching creams because people were injuring themselves using it.

This is nothing new within the Black community or in the world. Remember the paper bag tests? Or what about Black film director Oscar Micheaux who cast lights as the good guys/leading ladies and dark skinned actors as the bad guys. This didn't happen overnight and will not end overnight as well.
