LOL, so you saying this isn't a sista Petty. :)

The last name sounds black, Claudia Adusei.

Figure them white girls got the coins to go to the professionals. Granted would be odd to see a black girl trying to fatten up the derriere.

Such a sad thing to die so young for something so senseless. These so-called standards of beauty that make women willing to put themselves through the torture of trying to achieve them breaks my heart.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well along those lines. Unless she was married to a Ghanaian, but at 20 seems pretty young to be married.

Agree Tam, pretty sad to lose your life over something like that.

Reminds me of a story a couple of days ago here on the local news in New York City, in Queens, where a woman kicked two men out of a house party, they returned with guns and fired shots into the house striking her in the head and killing her. Senseless stuff.

Life is too precious to die so cheaply, but happens every day it seems if one follows the news.

I don't really understand why people feel the need to undergo this much surgery out of peer pressure. It's a baffling position to take and it worries me a lot.

Sad, for sure. But the first thing that came to my mind reading this article were the Darwin awards.

When I first read about this I assumed it was a white woman who died. So much for stereotypes.

    I thought Black.

IMO, more than likely Black women feel the pressure to resemble rap video-vixens, because not much else garners teasing towards a Black girl from family and men, than one who has no ass or hips. Having bee-sting tits are not a problem (which on the flip-side, a white girl gets teased for them, but not if she has no hips/ass). The terms 'child-bearing' hips, and 'you can see her ass from the front" resonates deeper with a BW's sexual identity.

I think cosmetic surgery is oaky. It is passe, it is not noveau anymore. If someone feels insecure regarding any feature, they should feel free to enhance it as long as that person is not suffering from body dysmorphic diosrder.
My take is get it done from professional, dont cheat yourself and get botched by amateur.

I feel the same way as well, their body, their choice, but thing is some start and then become addicted to it if the results of one procedure is satisfactory.

Would be nice if they didn't feel that need in the first place for cosmetic surgery, but some do.

It can become like a drug, one hit and their hooked.

I don't think there's anything bad about plastic surgery. What bothers me is people thinking that their worth is in their appearance, and their goal through these procedures is to turn themselves into something they're not. Many of society's standards of beauty are NOT realistic, & it creates a negative self-concept for too many people about their bodies. I mean, how desperate & unsound in her thinking did a 20 year old girl have to be to meet someone in a hotel room to have a medical procedure performed?

People need to educate themselves on what is really involved & what to look for when contemplating plastic surgery & choosing a surgeon. I hope they catch those assholes & bury them under the jail.

I believe that if a person isn't of sound mind, they are NOT good candidates for plastic surgery.

I say if there's some deformity on them and cosmetic surgery can ameliorate that, then by all means go for it. It's when it's most vital. But everything else, including breast augmentations...it's a waste.

For the people who care, yes she is black and this wasn't her first assmentation.

Shame, her whole future is behind her.

I dont think so. I have seen breast Augmentation, rhinoplasty and lipo..... doing wonder for ppl. I have known of few women who changed couple of things about themselves and feel and act great. It enhanced their love life, career and moved them up in the ladder. Fuck it, if you unahppy with your body and if it is a legit reason (again no body dysmorphic shit), I encourage to go under.
