Exactly. Race is a game that has been played in this land for generation. It is not about Genotype in America, it is about Phenotype and what you look like. America loves to put you in the BOX, she hates ambiguous & likes to classify each and everyone. If you have 90 % white gene and 10 % of black gene but if any of your feature looks a representation of Africa, you're black PERIOD. If 90 % of your gene is Blk and 10 % is white but somehow you are passable (look white), then America is going to consider you White.

Obama has been asked about this half a dozen of time, despite his white mother and white upbringing, Columbia or Harvard did not think he was a white or interracial kid, he was considered blk. Cab drivers in NY were not pulling for him, he realized what was up and played along with it and look where he has gotten, to the white house.

There is more African Americans with black parents than mixed with a non black parent and yet but yet the majority of Hollywood and political leaders that are black are actually mixed and many of the ones who are black look like they are mixed b/c they have a mixed ancestry.

I doubt his white upbringing had much to do with his likeability he's just very charismatic. what is your point? Malcom X, Du Bois and other civil right leaders are mixed, but were considered Blks. Professor Skip Gates is mixed and has white wife meanwhile he was harassed by a white cop in his own home.

Another point, marrying a WW and procreating with her does not mean you're negleticng you community "black community" whatever that means in America. Fredrick Douglas was married to WW, lots of civil right leaders and NAACP leaders were married to WW or courted WW.

I've never seen someone mention their family so much a def never heard them say MY WHITE MOTHER, MY WHITE GRANDMOTHER. He stressed they were White. My point was it's much deeper than anyone with noticeable black in them being treated as black. Yes that is true however dark skin is still treated much worse than light skin or biracial. It's sad reality that I hope one day will change but we haven't got there yet. Everyone should be treated as equal. Whites should not have privilege for being white and dark skin should not be treated the worst. Equal.

If colorism doesn't exist the please explain the fact the most of Hollywood, politicians, etc are mixed race or light skin? Explain why statistics show that light skin people are making more money and more likely to get a job than dark skin people?
