fyi, rape does occur (on some occasions - disclaimer for the sensitive people off their meds) as a result of being turned down. haven't you watched the movies that's why they have date rape drugs, to make sure that the victim can't say no or do anything to deny you.
no thanks, it's not that serious anyway i said some rapes, not all maybe i need to type that in bigger letters and add some crayon, so that people know i'm not painting with a broad stroke brush.
There are two kinds of rapists, a true rapist, someone who has mental issues, and the occasional rapist that only acts when he sees an easy target and thinks he can get away with it, the guys who raped this girl most likely weren't true rapists, so yes, it was probably about sex. Since this girl was white and most of the guys who raped her were non-white they tried to turn it into a race issue...
Just two? Rapist come in all packages. Don't ignore the superstitious rapist. And the religious rapist. Superstition as a result of curing, as in the phenomena is South Africa where babies and young virginal girls are raped to 'cure' them of AIDS. Or lesbianism. Religion as in self proclaimed 'messiahs' who forcibly rape young girls whom they take as 'brides' or 'marry' them off to dirty older men. Priests who rape little boys and girls, invoking the cloth as a 'spiritual' guarantee the kids don't challenge them. Then there's the almost nightly rapist (hardly occasional) who creeps into a child's or teen's bed. When you say they weren't true rapists, I disagree. Rapists are all over the place in their motives. Let me ask you, if you were with a group of men who began gang-raping a girl, would you join in? A rapist would.
^ Kunoichi, the whole thing about raping to cure AIDS is actually a huge misconception, there is an interview where a South African police detective says children get raped in South Africa because they are easy targets and not to cure AIDS, he said he never had a rape accuser tell him he did it to cure AIDS. As for me joining in, no, I wouldn't, even if I could get away with it, I couldn't sleep at night knowing I purposely did harm to someone, it may sound naive but that's how I am, I'm happy to know I never hurt anyone on purpose.
It's not a misconception. One detective doesn't have access to all rapes occurred and all rapists caught, not to mention some may lie to him. The reality of this is real, but not rampant. For an unbiased perspective, read this... http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/babyrape.asp there was a study also done on it in 2002. It's a long read, but very thorough. Your latter answer shows me you aren't a rapist. So do you still feel then that the men who joined in that night...weren't true rapists? (ps, there's also this perspective by science in Africa, http://www.scienceinafrica.co.za/2002/april/virgin.htm here is an excerpt... Nearly 60 children are raped every day in South Africa and while experts agree to disagree as to the causes, or whether the pervasive belief in the so-called "Virgin Cure" prevents/cures HIV/Aids is possibly responsible for this deeply disturbing phenomenon, university researcher, Mike Earl-Taylor suggests it could well be a contributing factor, and a major one at that. Moreover, infant rape appears to be unique to South Africa, however, the Virgin Cure is not.
Of course they're rapists, I'm just saying they're not the kind that would go out at night looking for women to rape, they rape when they get a chance, but I agree all rapists should be treated in the same manner, it's the intention that counts, good will people would never do that, there is a line you have to cross and it's not easy to cross it, once you've crossed you're not the same person.
