    ROFLMAO, well said Tam.

I often sit back and wonder how does who one person date have to do with the individual lives of others who are quick to make it their personal concern.

You are right that folks who are so narrow minded seem to make things about them and insert themselves smack dab into the personal affairs of others, when in reality it has no consequence to their own lives.

I am just glad to be in this day and age where you can date whomever you want, I cannot begin to imagine folks of an interracial background in the 50's and 60's, much less earlier.

Interracial is all over in 2011 and yet you still run across ignorant fools. They ought to repeat one line to themselves, "every woman or man does not belong to you"

If they were content in their own lives they wouldn't be focused on others, since as you stated its none of their business.

the argument i hear the most is white women destory their heritage and breed out their race etc when with black men, again this perversion they have of thinking every white women is pure, but what if a white women already has non white heritage aswell :smt017

we have to acknowledge the POWER of Hip Hop, Sports Culture and how black men are now merchandised and our SEXED UP image we have today.

SOME of these MYTHS about what a BM is what it means to be a BM in american mean a great deal and explain why certain types of ww are attracted certain types of us.

This documentary by Ice Cube talks about how the gang banger scene of L.A. - the sports image by the L.A. Raiders, and how this influenced Hip Hop culture emerging in the 80's.

its a very accurate documentary. Ice cube gathered all of the stars of hip hop and all the stars of football and they discuss how rap music & hip hop culture is influenced by football culture. But again these two cultures give us a sexed up image.

i also feel the fact that black male comedians dominate the comedy industry contribute to this.

and inter-racial erotica in all its FORMS also contribute to this SEXED UP image we have.

so again we have up and coming wealthy athletes from the ghetto who would be go on to become football legends and the legends of gangsta rap music and gang banger culture being influenced by each other - blended together to create an image of what a black man is in this part of the world.

    [IMG]][IMG]

when we look at who buys rap, its mainly white people. white people buy more rap than any other group of people in the U.S.

when pauly shore made his comments about black comedians as a hoax he was correct about what he said but it goes beyond comedy!!

What always strikes me as crazy is the people that have such issue with it that wouldn't even want us for themselves. I recall a black girl in the dorm who was always talking shit to & about me for dating black guys. She would sometimes come at me with the "stealing our men" shit & at other times she'd talk about how they were no good & too dark (whatever the hell that means), & the only reason they were with me was because black women didn't want 'em. It was confusing as hell...she didn't even date black guys; she dated mexicans. She also told me once that the reason I dated black guys was that I was trying to be black. :smt017 It's like she couldn't make up her mind why she had an issue with it...I think she was crazy as hell. There are also white guys that talk shit that don't have any interest in me, so I don't get why they even care. The way I look at it is If I ain't bothering you, don't bother me...there's no good reason for someone to be all up in my business.

Yeah, white & black folks have been using that line of shit forever. I even told my mom once, who had issue with the fact that I was pregnant with a "half breed" baby, that technically she was mixed too. I've heard family members on my mom's side talk about all the Native American ancestors we have. I reminded my mom that in light of that fact she wasn't some pure white person herself, so she shouldn't be talking shit about my baby. Her only response was an angry attempt to slap my face...I guess I struck a nerve. Truth be told, for many of us there's typically something else floating around in the gene pool.

Those type heifers don't want us, but wants no one else to have us. All part of the 'misery loves company' idea.

Thankfully I haven't had to deal with her type too much. I've been lucky enough to have some very supportive bw friends over the years. What's especially funny about her was it drove her crazy that I didn't let her bullshit phase me. Most people give up when they aren't getting a reaction, but she just tried harder which just made her even more miserable. I did get tired of hearing it, but I just let it be her damn problem & not mine.

Yeah you run into that convoluted ignorance when some folks feel deeply rejected or overlooked and want to lash out to make themselves feel better by grasping at every rant they can muster to placate themselves.

Its all a matter of some folks insecurities getting the better of them. If you truly don't care about something you ignore it and let it be as inconsequential, when it bothers you however you take notice and resort to driveling nonsense that won't make one bit of difference in the end. :)

definitly a sign of hitting a nerve, reminds me of a programe that was on over here a few years ago where they got DNA tests done for people who claimed they were fully white or some crap, some were suprised and shocked but one woman wanted to sue the show because she couldnt take the fact she had mixed heritage and wasent pure english

cant find the documentary on you tube anywhere i only saw a clip ages ago and read some news on what happend but the full thing is impossible to find, looked like an interesting watch

There is no shortage of people who want to tear others down to build themselves up out of insecurity or, as Smoothie said, they're miserable so they want others to be miserable, too. The nonsense doesn't make any difference in the end unless we allow it to.

Yeah, I've read stories about that very thing. Some of the reactions are silly & crazy imo. With my mom, she never reacted to others who commented about the "indian" she has in her...you can definitely see the Native American in her, but with my comment she went off. She's much better now; my parents have come to accept it over the years. Now my younger brothers are a different story....

Like my sig says, butthurt, irrational ramblings. She don't want us, but don't want nobody else to have us either. Point blank.

White folks kill me always trying to claim some Indian heritage. I read an article once where Shania Twain was going on and on about her name meaning something in Native American and her Indian heritage...come to find out her stepfather was the full-blooded Native American, not her. LOL.

But when white men date Asian women or black women for that matter, they're not "breeding out" their race.

Oh they will keep that clip on the low, trust me.

Sounds like a show I saw once where they did DNA tests on Ethiopian Jews and Israeli Jews and they shared the same DNA. Haven't seen that show in reruns. LMAO

LOL true, especially in this country, alot of the whites here are blinded by pride and patriotism and use it as an excuse to put down others, certain whites keep claiming thier 100% white, english etc etc, all it takes is one little test to shut that ass down haha

Not really. Like everyone I've had my share of crappy relationships, but their theory behind the failed relationships was the fact that the men were black. It's like my son's "dad", they think he was an asshole because he was black, but I know he was an asshole just because he was an assole.

    Yep, I know.

What's funny about the Native American thing is all the bragging...my mom & her family used to go on & on about it, yet they freaked out about my son being half black. I don't know if they still brag...most of them don't have anything to do with me anymore. My mom even told me once when I was knocked up, "If it was me, I'd raise the baby to try & pass for white." She couldn't understand why that offended me so much, but regardless, there is no way my son could ever "pass".

Because no one feels threatened in those situations, so few people give a rat's ass.

I guess at least if you claim Indian you can get a pass on taxes and open up a casino. There's no money in being black. LOL
