Seems a bit of an arrogant thing to do IMO make your own Island, with no respect for nature, if there was meant to be land mass it would be there already.

Bad that speculative capital is going to waste if this story is true. I have never really understood developments that have no human scale. One would have wished it was only their capital going to waste, but developments there are also being financed on debt from outside the region.
