I don't know I've been to a number of countries in Africa some more liberal than others. You error in painting the more than 40 different countries in African with the same pale brush. What Africa are you talking about, North African, West African, South Africa, middle Africa. Are you talking about the culture of Mayotte, or Equatorial Guinea? Are talking about the social comparison of Algeria or Nigeria? These all are separate countries with their very own distinct culture and social constructs.

My guess is you are either British, or American and trying very very hard not to be seen as either.

There are exceptions to the rule but in Africa generally sex is not openly spoken about whether in rural settings or in urban settings in the north, south, east or west and thats a fact.
