its natural to feel like that because people do love to have a look, some people love to stare me and my bf out at times its hillarious, some glace now and again and keep fidgeting while they do it lol :smt017
Just speaks for the intensity of a black man - white woman relationship, that it garners so much attention and reaction from some folks. Its testament to the beauty of the relationship of two people that are passionate about each other and don't let any obstacles or social norms hold them back from expressing their desires. Its like I want her, she wants me and that's all that matters.
:smt023 These are the essential frailties that helped to form the nexus of the racial and cultural tension in America. Your point is well made, GQ Brotha!
Get used to the funny looks & stares, because that's just a fact of IR life. You shouldn't let it phase you, though...I say let it be their problem & not yours.
:smt077 I liked the opening sentence about matriarchal tyranny, but the rest is over the top. Here is a distortion I must clarify. The Egyptians were not white. They were black. The only white Egyptians are the ones in the movies. Fair skinned people would have had a hard time with that hot sun. Anyway, it was funny, and now let's return to our regularly scheduled program.
The Egyptians weren't black. Are there black Egyptians today? I mean black Egyptians that can trace their line back, not immigrants. Dark, African, Sub-Saharan-looking Egyptians. Let's not get into the whole Stolen Legacy, third-eye Hotep shit please. LOL. And of course it was over the top <sarcasm impaired/>
That's exactly it. When you care what others think, you give them power over you, & power over yourself is something you should never give away.
Yea I know what you mean. I never want to give them the satisfaction of being intimidated or scared of what they think. If anything they should take a look on themselves for being so judgmental.
The ancient Egyptians conquered the Nubian territory several times. Nubia also conquered Ancient Egypt during the 25th dynasty. They had a very complex relationship with both friendly exchanges and some not so friendly. Nubians and Ancient Egyptians are not the one and the same. The ancient Egyptians describe the Nubians as darker than them.
Was it really necessary to embarrass me out in the open like that, FG? I'm quitting this forum. LOL Don't know much 'bout history, don't know much 'bout geology, don't know much about.... But I do know that I love that picture and that's why I posted it.
Im so sorry my lovely lovely friend. Will never happen again! Wouldnt dream about it. I do love the pic tooooooo! Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head btw :smt079
I was kidding, FG. I would rather be corrected than to misinform people. I see it as a learning opportunity for myself. I normally don't participate on topics that don't interest me or I know very little about, this being one of them. All I read was black Egyptian and my two profs in uni happen to be black Egyptians. That somehow gave me the need to post that pic. But this is not an uncommon behavior of mine. Thanx though.
relax anyone (even FG) with google and a plate of spaghetti can be an faux anthropologist nowadays :smt079
