Thank you all for your kind words. I've realized I'm at the point where I've realized I can do much better than where I am on all aspects of my life. I've broken down and gonna start building up. Yeah, as I'm human (male), I've done stupid stuff, but I'm thankful to be young enough to see my errors and able to correct them.

I realized I also have to keep my own standards as well.

I'm hoping to start my body transformation soon. After seeing how Bruce Lee transform his body, It inspired me. The diet is the hard part since I am a picky eater, but I"m going to give it a shot.

what was his diet ? was he a veggie man ? most people from china are fish eaters. japan are big fish eaters and they have less heart problems for that.

Check out the book by John Little, "Bruce Lee, The Art of Expressing the Human Body, chapter 20 on Fueling the dragon (Nutrition)". It is filled with a wealth of information on what Bruce Lee eat to propell his fighting machine. Two great segments in the chapter for me is "A Sample Daily Diet" and "A Day in Bruce Lee's Life: A Typical Diet". On par one of the best books on Bruce Lee by John Little who had the permission of Lee's wife Linda Lee to pull a wealth of information from Lee's personal logs and journals.

I've gotten so fucking fat these past two months. Day in, day out my diet consists of sweet potatoe pie, pizza, chinese food, cake, ice cream, pop, juice, wine, liquor, long john silvers, mcdonalds, wendys', burgar king etc you name it! and you know what?

I feel fucking great! but it's all coming to an end this January 1st, gotta get back on the grind. No homosexual but hot black men thread is motivation.

    again with the disclaimer

look..if you checking out my man's 6-pack and cut-ass arms...more power to you

    :p

seriously tho....it is a grind. when people tell me they want to lose weight and get in shape, a lot of times I just want to laugh. Many people will do it for a few months and go right back into lazy mode for another year.

no homosexual just cracks me up when I hear/read it, it's understood that a hip hop phrase doesn't stop one from being percieved as a wild homosexual lol.

Your right about it being a grind. Coincidently when I got back into fitness I created a thread called

    Back on the Grind.

Ok so I haven't been staying true to my no carbs diet and I haven't even hit the gym for a consecutive 6 days yet but I'm ok with progress so far.

I always had crappy muscle endurance so I've been focusing on doing a 10 rep 5 set routine with some neg reps. My mid section looks like complete garbage now.

Honestly I don't have that motivation for the gym anymore. After nearly achieving the body I always wanted this past summer, I don't have the will to go thru that mess again.

They gave us tshirts in high school, for hitting the weight room on 20 separate says during the off season.

Maybe we should start something like that here.

im just bullshittin about that now tho

no way shirts would be given out to a bunch of lying mofos on the internet

as for motivation...i dunno what to say about that

when you have other priorities, lifting regularly doesn't seem to have as much sway, as raising a family or working a full-time job.

what motivates me right now is reaching my physical peak. i'm curious to see if I can get my bench over 400lbs, while maintaining my current weight of 220lbs, for example. Keeping goals like that, keeps me going.

Update for me, not that anyone cares I bet, LOL.

I gained 8 lb muscle weight and lost 5% body fat since May.
Thats pretty huge for someone my size. Took a lot of work. 118lb/5'4".

Gained 1.5 in on biceps and 1 in on calves and 2 inches on my butt:).
Decreased waist w 2 inches and added 1.5 inches on my thighs.

I do bent over barbell rows w 95 lb, 16 reps + 6 kelsos x 3 and do bent over dumbbell row w 35 lb 16x 3. I use straps on that or it wont happen.

If I do arnolds or biceps, I do 25-30 lb dumbbells and bench press my own weight.
I do freestanding squats w 95/115 lb (12x3) which is fantastic considering my backsurgery.

    Im pretty stoked.
Switched from hypertrophy to defining Jan 1st so I love to see where Im at in a few months.

lol I figured that out after posting a reply. Jeez 400lbs, beast mode! You think you going to hit it this year?

Excellent! Seems like you take your physical fitness quite seriously with a extreme work ethic. Are you joining a competition?

Still pigging out but I have regained some muscle. Clothes becoming hella tight, like walking with a limp tight, wife beaters turning into belly button shirts, with a touch of plumbers cleavage lol. Definitely hitting the cardio this week.

Accomplished a couple goals today (nothing spectatcular) Leg Press 700x10 and Barbell Shoulder Press 225x3 (half reps)

    I'm at 340 right now

I lift hard every week, so I think I'll get 380-400 by years end

I don't want to put on weight either, so that's the hard part

    gotta maximize the muscles
