Very true, one's personal attraction doesn't preclude them from dealing with other differing backgrounds on a friendship level, its just the person I want a personal, intimate relationship with is what turns me on and interests me. The bottom line is we are going to go as individuals for what we like in a society of freedoms. Maybe in some cultures elsewhere people have little choice of a different path. In 2011 America and other Western societies as well, that is thankfully usually not the case.

Yeah, I think we all do that. Different situations bring out different parts of our personality. I have my professional side, serious side, smart-ass side, crazy side, etc., but it's all me. It's almost always obvious when someone isn't being themselves regardless of the situation.
