There are men who like big girls period!!! I am an african man and culturally we tend to like big women and this is because there is the notion that big women have child bearing hips and a lot of breast milk so she would have it easy having her child the natural way and also have enough milk to feed the kid. I have been a big girl lover since i was 16 and was blown away in bed by this sweet 17 yr old big girl and trust me big girls can rock. So when a brother is dating a big girl it could be that he LIKES the girl and not because she is bottom of the barrel.
I would give ma left eye and (probably testicle) to have a sexy woman like sweden. Smh i cant believe sweden and fat can be used in the same breath she is a thick, curvy ,white girl.:smt016

And this is why big white women think we will go for them, because they see the size of the Black women that get fawned over.

Any BM who is going to date a BBW or a WW needs to have a rebellious streak. Dating outside of the status quo requires determination and a strong spirit. It's not for everybody. It's one thing to date/mate when no one is watching. It's another thing when you are in public and you need to be out and proud, not wilting when people start staring or making inappropriate comments.

True! And this site is the only place where I have seen it written that BBWs were the bottom of the barrel for brothers. After all, there are a lot of mean, greedy, ugly skinny women out there too. Some people just don't understand a fundamental fact of life: A person's intrinsic value cannot be detected by that person's level of conventionally accepted attractiveness. Or in layman's terms, it's foolish to judge a book by its cover.

Appiah, I like the way you think! Great minds thing alike.

Sweden, I love your breasts. They are beautiful and I can see why you have had no complaints.

Isn't that why books have covers? The outward appearence of a material thing tells you a lot.

Maybe you are right about the rebellious streak, but I simply never gave as hit whether out other folk liked who I had on my arm. Never NOT went any place. Didn't alter my behavior...

    ...at all.

Preach on my brotha, that's what I'm saying as well.

Growing up as an only child I learned to find my value from within my own self and not externally. I'm driven as hell to do my own thing, has been that way for as long as I can recall.

I will be respectful and decent to others, but I have a no nonsense kind of personality.

Sometimes just the way you carry yourself as a man, people will automatically know to mind their P's and Q's, even when they don't like you.

Now you're flat out lying kid. Companies spend millions on marketing because its proven over and over that packaging does matter. None of us are truly above that its instictual. You won't go to the story and food in unattractive packaging and think "well I'm sure what's on the inside is delicious" you won't buy a car with a shitty and say "wow I hope it runs great". I don't know why we lie to ourselves so much. Outward appearence matters, I'm not saying its all that matters but it does.

Many women like to say that "looks don't matter" but the guy with no front teeth and a sleepy eye will tell you that looks do. Of course looks matter and anyone that says that isn't paying attention. Women know more than anyone else that looks matter as they spend BILLION each year trying to perfect their look.

Women care more about how they feel about themselves. It's less about how we look for men. Almost every man I know tells me they'd be perfectly happy if I showed up without makeup in sweats- they don't get the whole beauty routine rigmarole. A lot of men I know are stumped about the fashions we throw on and the hair appointments we attend. While they might 'appreciate' the work we do, a lot of them don't think it's necessary.

That being said, 'books' never have covers on them that actually speak to the content. The analogy works because you could have a leather-bound volume that looks awfully pretty, but you could open it up and have it be TERRIBLE... just like people. A woman might be perfectly lovely, but she could be a raving lunatic who likes to knife people in dark alleys.

Marketing, as it were, does not apply to books. The people who read regularly are less interested in covers than content. Sure, when it comes to cars, groceries, etc. the pretty packaging, as it were, works out, but most literary marketing relies on word of mouth recommendations and the fame of the author- and even that isn't guaranteed. Those damn Steigg Larsson books (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc.) and FRIGGIN' TERRIBLE, but you see them EVERYWHERE.

    Great take!

Also, I think, a woman's looks is about how she self identifies. Fashion makes a statement and designers market a lifestyle, and not only that alone, their creative juices heralds into the moment their vision of the world. So in a sense when a woman goes to the stores, or the boutiques and makes a choice, whether clothing, shoes, lipstick, or a colour combination, I suspect in that choice is the woman's vision of the world .

Personally, I have always felt how a woman dresses, or makes choices about what to wear has many times to do with self expression , spirituality, and how she identifies with the world being marketed out there. Looks (not natural beauty), but how a woman chooses to present herself to the world sometimes expresses a woman's inner mind. It is similar to choices people make everyday regarding what to eat, who to love, who to accommodate.

There is something spiritual about aesthetics, it is deep appreciation for art and the feeling of contentment and sense of wonder that it brings. What I have tried to say is that the choices a woman makes about looks reveals what lies beneath. In the sense of the book analogy, it can sometimes reveal what is beneath the cover. Packaging is differentiation in the market place where the woman makes her statement in subtle hues if one cares to observe.

My bottom line point is outward appearence does matter. You can tell a lot by looking at someone, not everything mind you but a lot.

By the way I'm with you on that Larsson book, complete shit.

I agree...the genesis of this thread was about applauding the beauty of curvy or chubby women and have fun with it. not it has turned into something petulant.

very true. It is nice to have the perfect looking person but that is good for only about 6 months when you start to see the inner being of them. that is when it can take an ugly turn or it can be a most beautiful evolution/revolution

I understand when you say a rebellious streak but It would be more accurately stated to call it a state of self awareness and high self esteem.

    well stated !!!!
