what i do know is that i was slightly stunned when i seen 'breaking news, congresswoman shot' during my routine surfing of msnbc

that's pretty serious...im just wondering if she had any secret service or not

arent they supposed to have a few guards on detail

I am not sure about security. I dont think the govt has enough money to secure all level of state and federal elected officials. I might be wrong here, but I am sure as heck it is gonna cost lots of money. I heard of not too long ago a mayor of major city being punched in the face and whacked with baseball bat during Saturday city outing event and he didnt have any secuitry around him.
I am sure today's event will change some security procedures in the future.

RIP for the folks who got killed and hope the congress woman will survive and come out of it.

Al Gore never asked anyone to take up arms for global warming, nice try Sneakeedyck. I give you points for being a GOOD black conservative if anything you are consistent.

If you constantly repeating taking up arms against political officials like FOX News events like this will happen. Like Malcom X said "The chickens come home to roost."

    Keep self hating.

u know...every time i see the statement from the doctors saying that they're 'optimistic' about her condition, i just SMDH....

even if she survives, she was SHOT IN THE TEMPLE.

there's a good chance that she'll never be the same woman, ever

    stop playin, doc

Right now all I think the doctors are concern with is that she survives. If she survives then everything else will then become of concern.

i know, but what's the point of surviving a gunshot to the head, if you end up having to rely on other people for the rest of your life?

Damn bro, what they suppose to do then? Just say "Fuck It" because she's more than likely going to be messed up for the remainder of her life? You cold bro....

i know for a fact that i dont want to live beyond having to rely on other people. We all gotta die someday, so what's the point of living when you're just suffering?

Same thing with life support. If I need that, just pull it. Does nothing but waste hard-earned money.

i was thinking the same thing to be honest. So what Palin had 'cross-hairs' on a map, targeting objectives. That doesn't mean jack shit, and is just being hyped up as a political move by her opponents.

If she doesn't have any kind of living will drawen up for her family about life altering conditions such as this then we can assume that her family will be more than glad that she's alive, family dependency and all the hardships to come. People more than not do everything on the emotional level rather than the logical level. Just saying.

I think you are too late. This thread was politically and a bit racially charged some where close to the beginning. Not to mention, there were comments being said that was not true. I have been made a fool by time by not getting the facts straight one too many times. I'm not going to let time do it to me again if I can help it.

Yes, it can be dangerous. I trust that you were equally upset, and just as outspoken by previous numerous dangerous acts of demonization:

This shit is too fucken early to speculate. The lady is young, attractive, very well educated and accompolished lady. She just got married not too long ago, she is lucky to be alive with fucken bullet traveling thru her brain structure. The media is not sure how much damage is done to her command center. My guess is she is prolly gonna spend sometime in ICU then if she is lucky will go to Neuro floor for rehab and then you can really gauge how much function she is going to regain. I have seen more crazy shit in my life to know the shit that you expect is prolly not going to be the fucken outcome. Who knows she might reagain almost 80 % of her function back or might be a bed ridden ventilator dependent individual. Only God and time can tell.

Ok, for the shoe incident. I gave bush points. He dodged that shoe with ease.

The rest is over the top. Especially the nazi stuff. FDR is rolling in his grave to hear U.S. presidents being compared to Hitler. It's like these people never read a WW2 book before.

This murderer's background screams put me in the mental hospital. He got kicked out of community college for his mental problems. He was rejected by the military for probably the same issue. And yet, he was still allowed to buy guns.
Again, we see mentally unstable people buying guns and killing people! I thought we learned from this during the Vtech days.

u sure he didn't get the glock from his father who was a police officer?

either way, just because you had a mental health issue, doesn't bar you from buying guns, because not everyone has the same type of health problems. It would be very discriminatory and I don't think the Americans with Disabilities groups would sit idly by if laws like that persisted.

If my gun control knowledge serves me correctly, the only people barred from purchasing firearms are ones that were involuntarily admitted to an institution, by magistrate, judge, whatever (5year wait period after discharge). Voluntary admits demonstrate some sort of responsibility and sound judgment, so they can still clear background checks. They still have to clear 'suicide watch,' if they expressed the possibility of them doing harm to themselves or others.
