Came across a couple of articles today letting it known that the script for Ghostbusters 3 is ready. I'll admit, I'm looking forward to this.
From one that I read, the guy that would direct it said that he has roles in it for all the original cast members, plus some roles for some new actors/comedians as new hires.
That's interesting, guess I never really thought about a sequel to Willow. I remember watching it as a kid, it was a favorite of my mom's. Never know in this day in age what may be in the Hollywood machine. A School Ties reboot would be good for today. They could keep it the same or update it with some of today's social issues.
they need to make a district 9 II. i need to know if christopher comes back and turns wikus back into a human
When I was a little kid that movie hit me hard. School Ties was powerful man. The only movie that Bredan Fraiser acted well in.
Stills from semi remake of John Carpenter's version of The Thing. Pictures start at :18 second mark.
A friend of mine told me he heard they were thinking of doing a prequel, rather than a sequel and show why/how the aliens came to Earth in the first place. I would personally rather see a sequel where Christopher comes back with a fleet of armed prawns ready for war.
lol...sorry fan...i tend to have a habit of doing that...!!! it's never deliberate though here's hoping
i hadn't thought of that angle...i thought of a fleet coming back to rescue the prawns and fixing wikus, but the war bit never came to mind
I think that is something I would consider doing if it were me. After being treated like crap by humans, watching the ones I care about get tortured and killed, I would be ready for a nice cold glass of revenge.
those guys are too old IMO, to be running around fighting ghosts (seriously, Harold Ramis did NOT age well) they were looking damn-near middle aged when the original ones came out i do admit it's going to be hard enjoying another one without them, because true fans deserved a sequel a few years after the second one, while all of the original actors were still well-preserved. some of the essence is lost because of that
Well, if everyone does sign on with it, maybe it will be more of a passing of the torch kind of movie. Maybe the originals will become mentors to the newbies. I watched an interview a couple of weeks ago with Dan Aykroyd for Yogi Bear and he said something about Anna Faris filling a role as a newbie to the team. Don't know how true that is though.
Even if I heard that there was gonna be a "Lethal Weapon 5" it really wouldn't even surprise me. Hollywood is so out of ideas it's sad.
I definately think this plays some part in it. I also think they know there is money in it too. A lot of people want to see some stories continued on, as there are also directors out there that believe they can do a better job with certain stories that already exist. I will say that it is refreshing when a nice piece of original work is done. Like District 9, Cloverfield, Avatar (depending on what side of the coin you're on), The Proposal, etc.
