Im not even sure what the disagreement is cause im jumpin in late but this need not be forgotten... What groups do most of the opposition of interracial relationships come from in this country? Should I feel guilty? No. As palmer pointed out, as long as I'm dating that person for the right reasons, there's no reason to show shame or guilt. Love isn't a disease. It's a chemical and psychological response based on your personal feelings toward someone you find beautiful. For some reason, people get the impression that attraction = exclusive attraction. That is not the case whatsoever. None at all. In my case, I do have a preference towards white women, but I'd be a damn fool to not recognize beautiful women from all spectrum of life. There are black women whom I fancy, as there are Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, Native Indian, etc...etc...etc...but all in all, I often gravitate more to white women and it has more to do with common interests and not too much of being WHAT they are. I guess I am saying that in the end, you need to realize that you must love the person as a individual, and not because of what they are. I'd say his thread gets views on 'shock value' alone. Say, if there was an 'ugly women' thread', there would guaranteed be a lot of views simply because of the 'shock value' factor. I'm not saying BBW are ugly. I'm simply stating the type of reaction it will garner on average.
posts like these lead me to believe that people (not you but the ones in question) aren't being exposed to decent black women. you can't argue with people that don't get out and experience life. If you work (or even just visit) at a hospital in a mixed city (like philly), you're going to see many black nurses, technicians, professionals, that are anything but the stereotype that loves to chase after tupac or some other guy with his pants hanging off his ass.
