France used to be good but has changed in recent years. UK-as Russia pointed it out they have tons of blks there.

I say check Australia as well. Sure they have some racism down there but for most part from what I hear it is a decent country and the women seem to appreciate BM.

I would have liked to see your face(reaction) while reading the statement that prompted you to reply with the above.

Germany and Netherlands should be high on your list.

Don't rule out France just yet. My last girlfriend was French. You'll find some women who are down, as far discrimination goes you will find some nations in Europe are more overt than others.

You would be surprised how often I get the question of what language is spoken in Sweden.

thank you for this information. again i've become inspired by french movies/french actresses mostly. but i don't want to be a victim either. but i can accept that racisim and prejudice is apart of life. i accept this.

but part of my motivation to leave the USA comes from a variety of reasons.

    1) Complex Racial Tension in AmericaUSA / Prejudice

    2) Prejudice / Dysfunction Lack of unity within the Black Community (black americans).

    3) Complex Dysfunction in my own family/peer group

    4) Living in a overly materialistic-competitive society.

To put it bluntly, i'm tired of it all.:rolleyes::rolleyes::smt120:smt120:smt120

And it wasn't until 7 years ago (2003) that i understood that the answer to atleast some these issues is to make a permanent move. But i realize that i have to select the right country/language-culture.

and i just have a strong desire to try something different.

this black woman seems very sincere about what she is saying about racism problems in France. maybe its the area of france in which she lives and the line of work she does over there. but she seems sincere.

but overall i will atleast understand FULLY what the problems are over there first.

but Germany & Netherlands is at the top of the list! thanks everyone

then of-course sweden is an option as well!

You actually found an attractive French Woman?

From what I understand and yes there's racism in France but its bit more class based. Often times poor White French live among poor Black and Roma and in the same building and generally looked at and treated the same, POORLY.

This includes access to public transportation, limited job opportunities and limited opportunities to higher education.

Overt what? I didn't experience any overt anything, you're not talking about the uncharted Eastern European waters are you? I've had several Croatian women say they LOVE THEM some Black Men.

Because Americans are generally STUPID or haven't you noticed? How about all those shows like "Are you smarter than a 5th grader"? Do you see shows like this in other countries?

Makes you wonder what some people were doing during World History class.

Funny I did not see ONE other Black Person in Stockholm other than the French guy I hung out with. I saw more Black folk (Africans) in Bergen, Norway than anywhere else and that is likely because my host likes Black Men, was married to an African once and knows what rocks they hide under, recently had another child with one too. It doesn't hurt that her license plate frame said (I Love Chocolate) on it, in English she got it from the States on one of her visits...

I bet if I stood in place along enough I might see one, but I didn't, was all over the shopping districts, out in the park (actually got lost when I tried to detour a marathon), all over the middle of the city.

I was watching a documentary on the state of our schools (In California) and found there was a school in Sweden (Stockholm) that taught in English (Hmmmm). Not to mention a few in Belgium and Germany too...

Lol yeah...I met her through mutual friends at a University. I'm pretty sure i am getting married to a foreign woman lol, not to say that theres anything wrong with American women ha. i find that i have worldly tastes, and I live in the most diverse city in the world. So go figure :)

Well places like Russia and Spain don't hide their racism. I've had friends who have visited and researched a bit myself. Then again to each their own.

thanks for the info. all of this helps a great deal. i'm greatful for the different opinions and points of view.

hearing someone who is from France and is happy that he left helps clear alot up. But also hearing others who are american like me who had GREAT experiences is encouraging. i guess all cultures have their own unique brand of dysfunction.

I now see that Germany, Sweden & Netherlands are at the top of the list now

France is now not my # 1. it bothers me a great deal that arabs and africans get discriminated against. its only because i know what its like to deal with prejudice as an african-american man in the U.S. seeing institutionalized prejudice towards another type of person bothers me a great deal..

It would be hard for me to go to another culture that has that type of prejudice towards another. A friend of mine told me once "yeah man as long as your not African then you will be cool when you go to France"

All European countries have a certain level of racism. This is true of France too. But I dont thionk it is any worser than anywhere else. And as someone quoted earleir, you do see a lot of BM with younger French girls. Ans I know a lot of these BM are born in west Africa like Cameroon and Senegal.

Sarah23,I wonder if those brothers who dated those French women are rich? I have not seen one dating a French woman who was poor during my visit in Paris.

I dont understand. You say that "If you're Black or Arab, you are definitely looked upon as a dangerous thug."
But then you say "Though, black men are popular right now with younger white women (18-25), like in the UK".
A lot of Africans are to be seen with white women, so not everyone is racist. But of course some people are. Also French women do have Arab boyfriends !

Pierrot80,Black-Americans had a long history in France as far as two centuries. I have not met a French woman during my visit in Paris,I think if I was a Black American celebrity that would happen but not a regular Black American citizen.
