I have seen all of them...and let me just say...this does bring back a bad memory of mine two years ago. I can't even walk around the neighborhood without carrying my wallet showing I live here. I just moved into this neighborhood (majority white) and well my mother and I use to walk around the neighborhood for exercise and what have you. Well, one day we decided to walk together and took a different route. Well, she noticed a friend of hers (one of the few blacks living there) when reaching around the corner. I stopped on the neutral ground and basically waited patiently for her to finish her conversation with her friend. Turns out she joined us with the walk. As we were walking, she said to walk ahead of them so they can continue their "girl" chat, when all of a sudden, this black vehicle zoomed past my mom and her friend and almost hit me. This short little angry police officer (white mind you) jumped out and screamed that I was looking into someone's window. The other person came out as well. He's a young guy and was more easy going. The short bastard wanted to know if I lived in this neighborhood and asked me for my information. Mind you, I left my wallet with my ID at home. My mom and her friend managed to get up there in time and confronted them. And THEN, I just noticed an old friend of mine (white guy) whom I use to work with, lived right there and saw everything. He rushed out and also confronted them. Suddenly, Officer Dick changed his tune and said, "It was all a big mistake!" He then extended his smile with his pissant smirk on his face and I reluctantly shook his hand and then he and the other officer drove off. One thing I can confirm: If I was a white kid, nobody would have called the police and made a false accusation. It's messed up. They should have prosecuted the bastard that made that false statement. But they didn't. Also, if it weren't for my mom, her friend, and my friend intervening, I would have been in jail for nothing.
As a minority, if you dont come from Big Family Name then you ought make sure you get Money, Money, Money. I'm convinced....money can buy you, or get you out of anything in this country. Otherwise injustice will be served to you, a classic example of America's 2 class system. Justice for all?.....Yeah, right.
Not just that, but you also need some networking with bigwigs. Or better yet, manipulate the system by conquering through influence.
I need to see the same thing in different environments not just young black people. How would this scenario play out on a college campus or even a college town. Yeah I would like to see a bm in a business suit too. Is it purely skin tone or does the way we carry ourselves count? One scenario isn't enough fam.
