what is the love connection between BM and WW ?

Im not a big historian but as a casual observer I can see why WW and BM are extremely attracted to each other ( at least one reason). That one reason is historically we can identify with eachother because we shared the some what similar types of oppression. It seems BM and WW have more in common than we think.

what oppressions do you think we share as far as similarities and what other spiritual reasons for the attractions between BM and WW and why you think so ?

for starters I believe BM and WW share the POSSIBLE common links that BM feel BW look down on BM betrayed if you will. Watching some videos that was in other threads IT SEEMED WW feel the same way in that they loved the way BM made them feel loved.

I believe ww are more empathetic and strong hearted like BM and that is why ww like bm. see how the BM took charge and tried to protect the women in the face of racism

Well. Hmmmm. I dunno.

As a white female I've never felt oppressed. I was never told that I couldn't or shouldn't do something because I'm a girl. My husband never recalls being told he couldn't or shouldn't do something because he's black. Neither of us have ever felt oppressed.

BW are a double minority, BM and WW are "just" a single minority (I'll make "minority" for WW because that's only fair, imo.) and, of course, WM are no minority at all. So, we do have that in common, I suppose.

 

Personally, I think it's ridiculous that there is this odd *need* to dissect reasons why bm and ww would be drawn towards each other.

What difference does it really make? It's simply the way it is for some people...and that's all that matters.

 

its not the reasons it is about the strong connections. suchas if you read the link to the other thread and watch the other vidoes in the other thread that is somewhat called IR talk show then you will see what I am talking about. you will see a common thread what binds BM and WW so tightly at least historically.

trust me I understand what you are saying on the last PT.. and that is all it should be...nothing scientific or psycholgical mombo jumbo but people like to do so. In the spirit of that it can be done on an intellectual basis.

There are many threads on here with all sorts of reasonings about bm and ww attraction. It's as if there is some need to validate it. But when it comes down to it....none of the reasoning really matters. It is what it is. There are those who are strongly drawn towards one another....some of them happen to be black men and white women.

Any theory, study, etc will be flawed and limited at best.

 

LOL. no doubt. people cant accept the fact that people outside the races are attracted to each other and thus they have to do some type of scientific study on it...like it is mysterious and shit.

the theme of this thread Im trying to lead to is that ww and bm have more in common than people think we do ie...spiritually and historically.

Who are these people?

Sometimes I think that it's more a matter of what some perceive and/or make up in their head. It seems to me that there simply are those who tend to look for issues that may or may not actually exist. My experience is that people are people and we all we all have more similarities than differences...no matter what the skin color.

Often the differences are more about socio-economic factors, regional factors, etc.

my thesis is that human-beings are adventurous, and restless. many people get bored doing same things over and over again and in the same way that society has come to perceive it should be done.

For example, it took the likes Ford ..the likes of Einstein, and the likes of Martin Luther, all in different ways to dream up something different for the world and its people to inhabit. That is why the world is changing and ideas keep getting revised or invented.

Interracial love, I think, starts out of curiosity about the other person and the idea of just experiencing something different, but this time another world-view or another skin colour (who the the adveturer has something unique to offer).

I am not sure it is such a big deal...ww /bm , or wm/bw. Just do what interests you and allows you explore your years on earth .
