In an interview with editors at the Los Angeles Times, the outgoing California governor said he was in "no rush" to find a new job when his term ends next month. But asked specifically whether he'd consider a post working for President Obama, he said yes and began to "riff on his credentials," according to the Times' David Lauter. Schwarzenegger, who counts legislation combating global warming as one of his signature achievements in office, suggested he might be interested in a post dealing with energy or the environment. "I'm a big believer in environmental issues," Schwarzenegger said, who added that he wanted a post where he could use his "celebrity power … knowledge and experience" to impact public policy. "I've traveled the world. … I'm very familiar with the world." It's not a far-fetched idea. Obama has often mentioned Schwarzenegger as someone he's like to have in the Cabinet, citing his work on climate change. For months, there have been rumors in Washington that the former action star might join the administration as a climate change czar or as an adviser on energy and the environment.
NO GOD DAMN way! He didn't have the credentials to be governor and he doesn't have it to be in the cabinet. Keep him out!
So is jesse ventura, Palin, kwame, bubah, the list goes on, welcome to American Politics my friend, you might hear announcement for my candidacy in this muthafuggin forum
Schwarzenegger is trying to position himself for future relevance as the best days of his first (bodybuilder) and second (movie star) careers are behind him. His legacy as California's governor won't have fond memories attached to it, so working under Obama will keep his profile on the national radar while allowing him to make up for political mistakes . . . assuming that's even possible.
As if Obama had the credentials...LOL If that lil crackhead can be in the whitehouse there is hope for a shitty actor.
The man was a politician for 12 years. Arnold never held office before being a governor even Palin held office before governor.
