You asked for answers, here you go. There are likely many possible reasons for this: 1. You're bored 2. You're tired of hearing people spout BS and not get called on it, even if you know they're a stupid ass troll 3. You're trying to ascertain what their purpose is here, in the unlikely event it's not what appears to be obvious 4. You enjoy giving people hell, think cat playing with nearly dead mouse 5. You want to ensure new members, who aren't familiar with the concept of trolls, recognize that the poster likely has a negative agenda There are no doubt many other reasons why people post to members that they're pretty sure are trolls, or who exhibit troll-like behavior. Personally when I first joined I was surprised that people would come here for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of the regular members, or to try to start fights. I had no idea what a troll was until I joined this forum. Yes, I was a little naive in that respect, but I'm very purpose driven and so people doing something for no apparent reason other than to kill time and piss people off really confounds me. After a while you learn though that people who start off on the wrong foot generally intended to do precisely that and they have no intention of contributing positively, or of learning anything from anyone here. Their minds are steeped in ignorance and sadly it's damn near irreversible. Well that depends, people come here for different reasons. Some seek deep conversation, some the exact opposite. Some people have enough thought provoking issues in their real life that they just want to come here, relax, and chat about things that don't have global significance. Some don't get enough opportunities to really think about anything too deeply in real life, and so they come here hoping for topics that will cause them to actually use their brains. I think the forum is to you what you want it to be. If you want thought provoking topics, make threads yourself. If you build it, they will come. P.S. Unique, your avi is awesome....and do we really care what that remark was suppose to mean? It is what it is, an avi and if he doesn't like it, he doesn't need to look at it, pretty simple....there are plenty who do enjoy it!
