Whats one improvement you would like to see on the forum?

The issue is that they weren't harassing directly, they were being subversive, talking behind people backs, character assassination with no consequences. I understand why that would bother people, it's one thing if someone comes directly at you, then you can choose to engage them or ignore them. But when they sneak around and say completely false things about you, you have no choice but to hear about it second hand. I also suspect the emotions that sort of situation would create would spill over into the forum and create a toxic environment. As I said, I don't want PM on the forum for myself, so this isn't an issue for me, but I see how it could be more of a con than a pro.

 

I think you make a good point. I don't see the skypers on here so much and miss their banter. I have wondered if it's cause they are all talked out.

It's a shame that a few runined the PM system for all. I honestly have never been on a board that didn't have it. To me I can't see sending hateful PM's.......it's not something I would do. I don't even like leaving neg rep and until recently didn't have the stomach to do it then some people force you into it. :smt102

 

Hate messages can be sent via reps, absolutely. However, unlike PMs which I would imagine act like IMs would, reps can only be dished out to you no less than once a week, where negative PMs are just a constant stream.

I think the site is fine without it. If you really want to contact someone off-site, there are options of finding out their information, if they don't have it listed.

We all still post, but the board hasn't been as interesting lately. Even if I wasn't on Skype, I'd still say the same thing.


Pardon me, I didn't read all the replies, but I thought another reason the PMs were removed cause it takes away from the paying members in the Personals section.

I think that any newcomer that his/her first post has any reference to bottom of the barrel white women, black men all having big cocks, or a picture of 'supposedly' his dick should be immediately electrocuted through the keyboard. It would save us all a lot of time and headache. That's just my opinion, but it would cut down on the number of trolls in this place.

Me too. If I was a guest and looked in some of the threads, I wouldn't want to join at all. Sad that the ignorant folks have to screw it up for everyone.
