I agree Russia. But often if the comment comes from a woman, many men automatically label it 'catty' if it's anything but glowing praise. I personally think that's BS, sometimes it's merely being observant, we aren't blind or stupid just because we're women. The posting of photos isn't actually something I pay mind to, but Kush brought it up and that whole catty debacle in the pics thread took place before his time, so I commented to give him historical perspective. I think if you don't care for a specific member, or what they post, just stick them on ignore and go your merry way. I don't see the point in arguing just for the sake of arguing, which is kinda what you described in your first paragraph.

Andrae, maybe no one has ever told you but, generally speaking, weight is a sensitive topic for a great number of women. It just is. You may never understand why, but it just is. Accept it and try to move forward already, lol.

Race is a very sensative topic and we talk about it constantly. Almost weekly I have to see post further showing how hated bm are all over the world and the men NEVER complain and say no more race orienated threads. I'm not biting my tongue for the over sensative fuck that noise. I can't even exercise reasonable free speech on the internet?

Nothing wrong with free speech Andrae, but I think at the point it's clear emotion has taken over, logic is not possible and therefore further discussion is pointless. That's what happens in the weight threads, and some of the religious threads as well. The primary difference between the two is no one comes on here every other day spouting 'BM can only get Christian WW', or 'all WW that date BM are atheists'... but we get a massive amount of 'BM only pull bottom of the barrel, overweight WW', and 'all WW that date BM are fat' type comments. That's what I personally get tired of. Well that and the fact that people's opinions on weight isn't going to change, we've all pretty much weighed in on the subject at some point in one of the multitudes of threads on that subject, what's the point in restating the same opinion over and over again. I could give you a summary rundown of what just about every regular poster's opinion on that subject is... I think the subject has been covered? If there is some new facet to fat that we haven't covered then by all means bring it up, debate it, but no one should be surprised when emotions run high on both sides when weight is the issue.

I wasn't asking you to bite your tongue. Nor was I saying the topic of weight has to be avoided. I was just asking you to accept that it's a sensitive topic. It is what it is. Yes, race is a very sensitive topic too. That's why when most of us approach it, we do it with sensitivity and consideration. Why not do the same when it comes to any other sensitive topic? Sheesh. Look, I'm not the type to get into pointless heated debates. I was just tryin' to help you out.

I defintely brought new ideas but no one wanted to discuss it. You guys have known me a year now(wow that flew by fast) and I'm fair when it comes to debating and I use cold logic. You guys honestly don't think the negative stereotypes bother me too? Newsflash I'm a black man who exclusively dates ww. Of course I don't like that negative horseshit but I'm not above discussing its merrits. Just like we had the discussion about bm not graduating at a high rate. I could have easily whined and complained about how unfair the topic was since that's not my experience or anyone I'm close to but I'm not above discussing it. I just want us to be honest and fair. Its clear we all have a fondness for one another so being defensive all the fucking time is so unnecessary.

With you 100% on that. IMO if everyone's intentions are genuine, no subject should be taboo. Especially on a board who's purpose is to discuss such matters. But again, as soon as malice inters the discussion it all goes down hill. Open mind and respect are key.

If I'm not mistaken that's the thread that got locked because of so many reported posts LOL! I recall you were taking heavy heat on that one, unfairly for a change, and it got ugly. In fact there's a couple regular members who haven't posted since that thread. So it's not just weight. Some people get offended, and they can't get past that so they take it from one thread into every thread, grudge carrying is immature, but it happens. I think to a certain extent that's what happens in the weight threads, it's similar to holding a grudge, people have stated their opinion so many times they're just tired of it altogether. As I told you once before, I've learned that religion and weight are two topics it's best for me to avoid as those just go nowhere good.

I agree with this Max, but sometimes it's easier said than done as people define respect differently.

Yep, I agree with the general ideal, not necessarily a specific incident.

Oh yeah I remember that one. What's funny is all those who came at me didn't have to hold a grudge I was ok with everything less than an hour later but I guess maturity lacks from time to time.

Hahahahaha! Some of those people are still holding a grudge now... months later. :smt042

It's a waste of energy to stay pissed at someone that long over something that wasn't worth being pissed about in the first place. I can think of far better things to devote my time and energy to.

Not to mention that was some of the most childish, playground mentality BS I've seen on the forum.

I understand the fact that people who are overly sensitive about everything, can be annoying. The thing is on this forum a very small percentage of people I would say are flat out overly sensitive, on the other hand hella people on here are just flat out rude, prententious, arrogant fucks etc. Theres a respectful way to do things and theres a disrespectful way to do things. When most people on here get bent out of shape, theres a valid reason why. I can say Ive probably only ran into a handful of overly sensitive types. Having said that, I have ran into ALOT of people who are sensitive about somethings and not so sensitive about others. That is normal human behavior for most people, there are certain subjects that may offend you but may not offend me vice versa. Thats life....

I really dont focus in on shit on here like others do. I just point out observations and speak my mind about how I feel. Then I move on and go about my day. The observations I have, others have too. I avoid the threads that I find are negative or stupid. I made this thread with the intentions of people posting improvements that they would like to see on the forum. The ideas I posted are just that, improvements I would like to see.

Fucking preach, people say they want interesting threads, yet I dont see any of them trying to make any interesting threads.

Fair enough. I get being respectful but I just don't like the idea of being boxed in. I use to work in corporate setting where I bit my tongue and acted fake 60 hours a week because that's what we're paid to do but I have the idea of not being myself on a sociol site. It takes away from the fun of it.
