There are more racist ones, but believe it or not, this was the 'least' offensive of the bunch.

Maybe I am sexist maybe I just don't get it.
Why wouldn't this be allowed in times like this?

I believe the top one might be his secretary. None the less, bending a grown woman (even wife) over your knee to smack her ass isn't the best way to advertise your dress shirt.

Much like in their other ignorant ad (in post #3 I think) declaring 4 out of 5 men want to wear their shirts.

I remember seeing a few of these in school when they would do presentations on how women were portrayed in advertisements.

    Some fucked up ads.

Not an Ad, but an article that was printed in the 50s. A couple of these make me LMAO!

Pure comedy, Espy. I haven't laughed out loud so much, in a long while. Too many to highlight.

Sexism clearly still exists, but WOW, 40+ years ago shyt was crazy, like from another planet!!!

I've only dated a couple of chicks who could even cook like a full meal, and the others were like, 'so the fuck what??'lol

(Still IMO a woman, if she becomes a mom, should know her way around a kitchen, since most females get stuck with the role as primary care-giver to children in a family, and there's nothing more pathetic than to meet someone who says their mom when they were growing up couldn't boil a pot of water.:()

It's clearer now why Blacks/White women during the suffrage movements of the early 20th century and the Civil Rights era of the 1960s were natural allies on so many social issues.
In many ways, they were BOTH generally viewed as 2nd class citizens.

Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg relates a story that after graduating from Columbia Law School (after transferring from Harvard Law to be closer to her husband), first in her class in 1959, she could not find a JOB with a major law firm!!!

Those ads are funny LMAO, but sad too.
