where did you buy your pc? I'm looking to buy a new one for gaming. Any cheap website recommendations would be lovely!
i got me a Dell XPS from 2006 that's still chugging hard if you're computer literate like that, you could opt to buy the components yourself, and just install everything. saves money supposedly. once you setup the mobo, everything else is cake
you can also check for deals here... http://www.spoofee.com/ dell posts a lot deals, regularly. holiday season is close too, so if you are serious about a purchase soon, i would suggest you wait until black friday/cyber monday, and maybe even christmas time.
like i said, i had this Dell for a good 4 years. I havent had any problems with it that needed expert assistance. As long as you know how to format, change the way your system boots, repair/install windows and have a rudimentary understanding of BIOS/DOS commands, you should be alright. Ive been swapping out video cards, putting in memory sticks, adding/removing hard drives with no problem. If I got a new system, which I probably will within the year, I would use Dell again.
Gotta to love DELL, but what about HP? Have you used HP computer before? I happened to own one before when I was young teen. I love it and now I'm looking forward to buying it with FULL HD. It's designed for my HDTV.

Why not build your own? If you never have, the process of purchasing parts is very informative. Here are some great sites where you can purchase complete machines, various barebones cases, or individual parts: Directron FrozenCpu TigerDirect Xoxide
Oh, fucking hell. I was showed off for telling a side of my story about my computer. Sorry for not answering your question earlier! Well, I got it from best buy. My next purchase will be from Best Buy nor Aaron's.
best buy has solid deals around christmas time. i purchased a HP laptop there last year for my mother. it was pretty fly for the price tag. good deal. and don't forget black friday isn't the only savings day coming up, cyber monday is still a big deal. (pun intended)
It's very hard for me to make a decision. Desktop computer or laptop? Either way, if I happen to own laptop, I could show off to my friends what I'm watching. I love to go to Best Buy, ever since there's a low tax down here in North Carolina. Not in New Jersey, there's higher tax that I'm not willing to pay.
depends on what you need the computer for. if you're just fukkin around and havin fun, get a laptop. if you're puttin in serious work on prime softwares, get a desktop.
Oh, I'm not fucking around, man. It's just that I have lots of HD shows to watch on my desktop computer that connects to my HDTV. That's serious work here and I'm a writer. I wrote most of my scripts here as well. So..I was thinking of buying a laptop to acting as "On the go", anywhere that I could watch my tv shows. It's just that I'm evolving, that's all.
fukkin around meant not over-workin the lap piece. cause the general understanding is, if you are working hardcore on your machine, you need a machine that is a beast. and no matter what is thought on any level, no laptop will ever beat a desktop. period. nuff said.
Go to makeusof.com... Join the site.. they got two good books that can help you build a computer a good one. In the long run its better and cheaper to build your own computer. There are two free e-books that can tell you not only how to build a PC, but also what to get for a gaming PC. Both book are like 25 pages each. They got pictures and are very informative. This isn't a spam announcement . Before you go buy a PC, at least know the specs your getting. I stopped my mom from buying a core 2 duo 3 years ago. Not because its not a good computer, it really is, but the store had a sale on a quad for like $50 dollars more with more RAM included off bat. If you take two-three hours of your time to read those books, do a little research, you will have lots of knowledge and save lots of money:smt028
