Me too kuni. Sorry to derail but it's par around here as you always have someone say some off the wall thing in a thread you feel you must respond to. :(

I find this facinating and love your post, no disrespect, you can verify as I have posted similar threads in this section on this subject. Very cool pics. :smt038

Yep, and I don't know if anyone else does this, but about half the time when I reply I don't even pay attention to what thread I'm in and whether I'm on topic or not... heat of the moment and all that. Once I replied to something and then went back to New Posts and I saw my name as the most recent poster on a thread in the Men's Locker Room... I freaked out! I was thinking 'I do not reply to threads in the Men's Locker Room, WTF is going on!', then I opened the thread and realized actually I apparently do reply to threads in the Men's Locker Room. It was totally off topic though and so I didn't even notice that was where I was. I've actually tried to watch that, but I find I often fail LOL.

Thanks Kunoichi for overlooking the derail!

Man I knew some cops that had hot ass wives/gf's and you know cops make nothing compared to what some teachers can make. So that 30K statement is irrelevant IMO. It's about confidence when it comes to getting quality women. A lot of women I felt were quality were always with guys that didn't have a job and were losers. So a dude making 30K in these parts is like royalty to some of these ladies...for real.

You didn't read my other posts fam. Its not about getting women its more about being able to support a family and 30k just won't cut it.

It is especially irrelevant when discussing police officers IMO. Some women look for a high income, and some look for safety/security. Whatever a person prizes will dictate the qualities they look for in a partner. Apparently the 'I want a man who makes me feel safe and protected' mentality is fairly common with a lot of women, so if that were my mindset, who better could I choose than the guy who can legally pack heat 24/7 & park a police car in the driveway every night? If safety is your number one concern, you'll overlook income, and vice versa.

30K is what some people are making right now which is better than nothing in this economy. Hell, I know a few families right now where the woman is providing more than the man do to the spouse being unemployed.

You make it sound like that's unusual. I know quite a few families where the woman is providing more than the man and they're both employed, and that's not a result of the economy.

Esp that is unusual. More often than not the man makes way more.

Not in my experience Andrae. I'm not saying men don't make more, just that a woman making more doesn't qualify as 'unusual' IMO.

I actually know quite a few Andrae. But that may be because we all tend to share a lot of commonalities in personality, work ethic, etc. so I suppose it's natural that we are somewhat drawn to each other. The time when men were the high earners, and woman sat at home and knitted are gone... thank goodness cause I'm a terrible knitter.

Rats so does that mean no wool cap for xmas? Lol

Hahahahahaha! Yep, knitting is just not my thing, neither is crocheting, so no doilies for you either. Sorry. Although if you're a workaholic you don't need to knit, you can buy the wool cap... see how nicely that worked out. ;)
