Oh see now, Dominos needs to be hit with a damn lawsuit. They might want a sit down with Denny's frazzled lawyers to check their asses.

In general I don't tip unless it's good service. NOTHING ELSE.

I don't like the idea of tipping being automatic. Its supposed to be a 'Thank you, you contributed to my pleasant evening', something special for the hard workers and the pleasant staff, which especially pisses me off when employers try to pool the tips and take a cut. I gave that tip to that girl because when I had a problem she fixed with sweetness, grace and speed and made sure it didn't ruin my day, I don't want to tip every douche that works there, just her because i felt that her service was so good she deserved 30%.

Not true, Old rich women are known to not tip well. I've dated a lot of waitresses and they all agreed on this one.

like an old rich woman once said, "Only poor people pay taxes".
    Apparently, they tip to.

I tip well in general, but I must confess that I use large tips as a form of flirtation with attractive WW waitesses who are attentive and friendly. I know, I know they are often playing a game to earn more, but I enjoy the fantasy. There is a cute waitress at a sandwich shop near me who has always been friendly and flirtatious---telling me more about herself than she would tell the average customer. It's funny, because when I walk in the others know I am "hers." Like I said, it's a game, but sometimes the most pleasant interaction I have all week.

I'm not a bad tipper. I tip waitresses and waiters for their service and I can say it's not based on favoritism.

Even tho I tip 20%, tipping is freakin retarded... I will tell you this being that I work in the hospitality industry, asians and middle easterns are the worst tippers.

An employer only has to pay employees in tipped professions $2.13 an hour, which IMO is ridiculous. I know a couple of restaurant locally who do that, and it's just sad to make anyone work for that considering how many people don't tip.

I always tip something. Great service 30%, good service 20%, marginal service but not terrible 10%, really crappy service .50 cents to a dollar. My reasoning on the last one is that if I leave no tip, they may think I simply forgot, if I leave a really low tip they realize I was unhappy with the service. However, I rarely receive bad service anywhere, but I typically frequent the same places and wait staff remember pleasant people and good tippers. I also don't hold the waiter/waitress accountable if the cook screws up my food, so long as the waiter/waitress fixes the problem if I point it out to them.

One thing that always pisses me off though is if I hand them cash and they say 'do you need change'. The appropriate response is always 'I'll be right back with your change'. If they ask if I want change, I drop the amount I was going to tip because that's just rude. I had a waiter ask me once if I wanted change, I gave him a 50 for a 10 dollar check... uh hell yes I wanted change.

I generally leave a 20% minimum and will tip as much as 50%.

Maybe, but I doubt it. :D I still thought it was rude, and it cost him a good tip too.
