    I think I'm PC, I'm sure some may disagree, but I'm referring to politically Correct not manners.

    I like to think I'm fair in many expressions I have and will consider the other side of the story quite easily, but I don't worry about calling a spade a spade if need be.

    I think I'm PC. But I also think I wouldn't be very PC if I came to America.
    My yank marine friends had a big go at me because I refered to black people as 'black' rather than 'African American.' Even though the people in question I was talking about weren't African.

    Politically correct is a meaningless term that now encompasses speech beyond the realm for which it was initially intended.

    I know how to be conscientious in my speech/behavior and exercise that ability when I choose to do so.

    Wow @ your friends....

    Some people prefer to be called Black, some prefer AA, but overall, calling them Black isn't a bad thing.

    In many respects being PC these days tends to be the equivalent of ass-kissing, and there is nothing sincere, honest or respectful about kissing somebody's ass. I think it's important to be respectful, to show common courtesy & to treat others the way we want to be treated, and most of the time I do these things. However, when I encounter ignorance or mistreatment of myself or others it tends to get the best of me, and the smart-ass in me kicks in.

    I try to to abide by the "live & let live" theory. Most of the time, if it's something insignificant, I choose to ignore it & go on about my business. If it's something I feel strongly about, I usually choose to speak my mind. I tend to be very blunt in saying what I have to say because I see no purpose in sugar-coating the truth.
