I can say whatever the fuck I want to say, and if I want to vent I can do that. I'm sorry that you're obviously so fucking offended by the fact that I have a lot of shit to deal with, but I REALLY don't appreciate your comments.

Life is not always rainbows and kittens, and considering how fucking happy I am offline, at least in appearances, I don't see ANYTHING wrong with venting online.

So next time, maybe you should just do what I try to do on this fucking board and IGNORE the shit that annoys you that doesn't have anything to do with you instead of being a dick about it.

I knew you wouldn't, and I knew you would respond with a vengeance. I know (pretty much knew when I typed it) that it was a mean response. I am sorry for being mean--being "bad Nose" is not the reason here, that was all me, but being BMN probably led me into a mood to say it so rudely.

I apologize Persephone, and I hope you can see that I truly intended to offer some constructive---if blunt--criticism, which you can take or leave (I think I know which one you chose). I also apologize to others on the boards who were offended by my comments to Persephone. I would have apologized sooner but it would have been chicken shit to not give her an opportunity to come back at me first.

I don't actually see your posts unless someone tells me about them, as I've had you on ignore since your BMN thread as I clearly don't appreciate your sense of humor. Though if someone replies and quotes you, I do see that, but typically skip over those too. You and I have previously bumped heads and I know that nothing productive comes of that so I just didn't see the point in responding to you. What you said was rude, you knew that when you said it, it's not my job to point out the obvious to you, nor would I expect that to have any effect if I did. Persephone is also one of the people who I know can absolutely take care of herself, and clearly she dealt with your post as she saw fit. That picture she posted is hilarious though and was worth a mention.

LOL! Let me see if I can get this right... one of our member's is Black Master Jay, he has a reputation for being openly outlandish, and Sir Nose doesn't approve of the way the ladies don't take offense at his often crude remarks, so he created a thread where he opted to channel naughty Sir Nose in Black Master Jay fashion and say anything he liked with no mannerly constraints. One of the ladies dubbed him Black Master Nose because of that. The thread is on here somewhere, but I don't know what section. You could search for threads created by Sir Nose and find it if you're interested.

 

So coming tomorrow, I'm going to get a flu shot.

What about you guys? Are you going to get it as well? Getting a flu shot is the best defense that I only have with me. I don't want to get sick or going to die from that flu shit.

Swine flu killed many people and yet I didn't get it. How strange. It's so good to see that Swine flu hasn't yet to make a move on humans. Seemingly, it's long dead.

I appreciate your apology and your acknowledgement that you had gone to far. Unfortunately, posts of that nature are sometimes common on this board. I don't normally point them out unless I feel the need to defend someone; however, that wasn't the case here. Francie and DH are fine on their own. I just felt the need to say something about it. I hold the mods in a higher regard than I do regular posters. In my opinion, mods should set the example for interaction and help to promote board unity. That's the only reason that I put my .02 in on the conversation. Apology accepted.

 

I'm really mad, kind of sad, but really, not very surprised about recent events happening to me.

It's not like a big deal, really, but I have 2 friends that I email with daily and we have gone to see all of the Harry Potter movies, since the 3rd one, together. We made plans to see the first part of the 7th movie that opens up next Friday.

Well, one of my friends got a coworker of hers to read the books and now she's coming with us to see the movie. Fine, whatever.

But now, because she lives in Chicago (and they both work in Chicago) and we all live in the burbs, SHE'S dictating not only where we see the movie but when.

We had decided on a theater and we had decided on an 8 p.m. show. I looked up advanced tickets for that theater and discovered that they only have a 6:40 and a 10. Now, I'm okay with the 10 p.m. show, because I'm a night owl, but I asked them what they wanted to do. One replied that we could see the 10 p.m. show and that she'd just nap beforehand.

The other one (the one with the coworker) replied with, let's look at other theaters and times. Well, all of the theaters around where she lives suck.

Long story short, I voiced my opinion about the movie theaters, but said I would go. She replied with: We really don't have to go together if you want to go somewhere else. Don't feel like you have to go with us.

So, in fell swoop, she made ME out to be the bad guy and I know that her loyalties clearly don't lie with me. The 3 of us have been friends for 10+ years, but because I don't want to go to a theater attached to a mall with crappy parking, that makes me the bad guy.

Whatever. Anyway, I'm tempted to reply with: well, by all means, why don't we just all drive into Chicago and see the movie there so we don't inconvenience your coworker at all.

Sorry it's not working out how you'd planned Bookie. Maybe you and the other friend should just go together to the theater of your choosing? I know that's not what you really want, and it's the principal of the matter for you. Though I think if she was trying to be rude she could have worded what she said much differently. It sounds like a pretty PC response, but clearly it's a matter that's more important to you than her and so perhaps you took it more to heart than she intended? Just my thoughts mind you.

 

It's snowing here and I've been reading about hypothermia, so I decided to see how long I could lay naked in the snow. It's about -1 degrees Celsius here. I lasted three minutes.
