NBC "Undercovers" Cancelled

NBC finally given the axe to their Wednesday night show "Undercovers".

Well, at least they tried to put a cookie-cutter type show starring a good looking black couple on the network.

 

His wife should have been White.

 

I called it.

 

I really wanted to watch it too. Just never remembered when it'd be on or I was doing something else. Now it's cancelled! :smt011

That is a shame. That show after 100 episode would end up on TV One instead it got cancelled.

Certain folks always cry about the lack of positive Black shows with BM/BW couples and they don't even watch them.

 

This only shows that negroes will not accept anything that is NOT coonery.

This should closed the door on anything the NAACP has to say on diversity on any of the tv networks. If this show was on 10 or 15 years ago perhaps it would succeeded. But the today's viewers has so many choices and the shows that the networks put out now is junk it kind of "water down" the goal of having people of color starring normal drama, comedy or documentaries.

 

Too damn true. Do you think the Cosby show or a different world would have lasted if it came out today ?

This useless show is destroying our women. I took the time to see what this show was all about since every black girl in the world watches it and won’t stop talking about it. Do you know what I found out fellas? The whole show centers around the “Sister, Sister” chick f***ing EVERYBODY. The football dude, the other other football dude, some other guy that lives with his mom for some reason even though he’s a grown ass man. It doesn’t make any sense.

Now I have to phone my grandmother about this. She's really loved the show a lot. It's stupid that NBC decided to cancelling Undercovers! How stupid are they, really? :smt012

 

They didn't even give it a chance. And its not about race either. These days, if a new show doesn't have ridiculous outstanding ratings after a few episodes, its time to cancel. Fox, for example, is well known for this.

they cancelled 'The Unit,' with Dennis Haysbert as lead, even tho it was bringing in millions of viewers per episode. Something like 4-5 million people watched it every week, including me. It had a good 5 seasons tho, i'll give it that. Flash Forward got the axe too, after one season. I don't think it was that bad but like you said, these execs are getting rid of anything that's not supernova.

the unit probably cost too much. there have been shows that were great in the ratings but the costs were too high
