Even sadder when the parents pull that "I was treated this way as a child" shit when they have the opportunity to NOT have their kid go through it. Sometimes, I get mad at the kid as opposed to the parent for their poor health when it isn't the kids fault. I understand that it's hard to change eating habits n' shit(I eat extremely poorly and was raised on poor diets), but parents should still put more effort into changing this poor diet shit. By the time they hit high school, it may be kinda late. Unless they get into weightlifting or some shit, the kids never really change their lifestyle habits. Luckily with this whole MMA trend, everybody wants to become a mixed martial artist in a year so they start getting in shape and eating healthier.
lol everyone wants to look sharp now, never mind completely skipping out on high-school sports or weight lifting clubs.
I don't think so. I think they're staying away from the thread, because talking about unhealthy foods can makes them very mad. As goes for me, I'm mad too, I don't like people being so unhealthy. Look at you...you're hunk that women can easily drooling over you. I'm going that path very soon.
Well, it's a thread about McDonalds. People probably just don't care. Nobody is gonna get so mad at something like this that they won't respond. And the "they're at McDonalds" thing wasn't meant to be taken literally.
American food is definitley not the healthiest. People have gotten so used to eating crap they don't even like the taste of real food anymore. There's almost always a healthy version of the foods we like to eat. Eating junk also ages us. You're right Japanese food is pretty healthy & so is Mediterranean food. It's an ugly cycle and no one seems to want to put in the effort to break it. I grew up on the typical southern diet & there's really nothing healthy about it. I've studied nutrition & fitness so thankfully I've learned what's healthy & what's not. I've always tried to feed my son well & encourage him to be active, but sometimes I've been guilty of grabbing fast food for dinner after a long day at work. It's always better to take the time to cook healthy food than to give in to the convenience of buying junk. I guess moderation is the key. I'm thankful my son is healthy.
Like I said above in my earlier post, that's what's fucking wrong with this country. That's why I pity this country too much. Have you seen huge subway-like sandwich? Like 12 or 13 foot long?! It took them like two hours to get it done! There's no way I can eat all that. But subway is healthy. I love going there.
i've said this in the past...neither one of my children have ever had mcdonalds or any of those fast food chain meals and i plan on keeping it that way. i know that i will not be able to keep them away from it forever, but at the moment it's not on their menu. good nutrition and a basic understanding of what is good for you and what isn't is something i'm teaching my children. hungry and want a snack? reach for a piece of fruit, not a bag of chips. your childs health both present and future is down to the parent
Ah & a great mother you are just for this, so the rest just makes you saint:smt083 Also, I want this guys lawyer on retainer lol
You know what's funny though, in your avatar you look embarrassed, like one of your children is taking a dump in the flower pot placed in the corner...just for their convience.
