    I love your list!

I'm with you Tony. My motto is, "It's gotta be the shoes!"...I look at a dudes shoes (you with the feet) and if they're clean (you know he takes pride in his appearance) and stylish (he has nice taste)....lol

    LOL!

I like this, and I agree wholeheartedly.

There are lots of qualities I admire and prefer in a man, but the ability to share openly without fear of being judged/ridiculed/taken the wrong way is easily my #1.

It takes a certain level of maturity which is hard to find, though..!

LOL.. you might be honest, Drae, but I don't know if I can share openly with you and not expect to be judged, ridiculed and taken the wrong way!!

I feel you. I feel the same generally, but I always figured that's just what people do. Even those of us who feel misunderstood and mistreated will judge and ridicule others.

Its kind of like that Chris Rock bit where he says never ask a woman how many men she's been with because whatever the number its just way too many even though us guys would never want someone we liked to judge us for the same thing.

Sure, we're all guilty of it. But when it comes to the person you love, if you're mature enough to leave that at the door, the relationship will be better for it!!

Oh yeah. When it comes to love ones I usually have blinders on. I can only se the good, I think that's why I've had a lot shitty relationships in my early twenties. I would ignore the foul behavior and focus on the good even though the bad outweighed the good by a lot.

I've definitely been guilty of this too! Next relationship I'm determined to be done with the rose coloured glasses!

Since you started the thread maybe it would be nice to do what you want others to do, and tell us about the qualities you want in a man.

She has to be sexy: not that fake, superficial, and or trashy sexy. That sexy that you can't outright pin-point, you say "damn you're sexy, I don't why but you are."

She has to possess a dry sense of humor: All the humor now is dry & situational. I laugh at Seinfeld, Will Farrell, and at movies like the Hang Over, if she doesn't find this stuff funny, it's gonna be a problem.

She has to be easy going: I hat when everything is a thing. You know you don't always say or do the right thing in a relationship, address it & move on, don't dwell on it. Why should we fight about where we are going to eat, why I'm late, why I like the tissue to come from over the top of the roll and not under...

    Just a few things.

Someone mature enough to sit and talk about problems openly and honestly, then agree to disagree on those things we can't agree on.

Someone who doesn't dredge up the past but rather attempts to resolve issues in real time. Never go to bed agree. The first words of the day and last words at night should be endearments and expressions of caring.

Someone who's committed to working on a relationship, meaning that you don't look for perfection, but strive to work each day to make the relationship better, even when it touches on those issues from past bad experiences. Obviously, both people must feel the same way.

Someone who will be that island of calm even when there are problems outside the door. When you come together you should be there to support on another through the problems we all face. There shouldn't be shouting and name calling EVER! Once words and thoughts are put into the universe it's impossible to retrieve them, or understand the damage you do to the other person.

Someone who appreciates a strong but sensitive guy who embraces all aspects of himself.

Someone who's caring of others and the world around. There're too many problems in society not to part of the solution, rather than the problem, volunteer, lend a hand and care about what's happening around in your city or in the world.

Someone who is intelligent, enjoys the arts, being active, open to new experiences, classical movies, sci fi movies, Indie films

Someone who'ss reasonably healthy and enjoys working out and staying fit and eating healthy. It would be a bonus if you enjoy ethnic foods, like Thai, Indian, Middle Easttern or Asian, including Sushi.

Geez, after reading some of the posts I had to remember to add, must have a sense of humor...
