    Jelousy as Fear

I would like to argue against jealousy, and this is how I see things: Jealousy denotes fear or apprehension (accompanied here by the prospect of loss), and envy, as well as a quality that would begrudge an achievement or accrual of another. I think this is an obvious result of enforcing the tenets of monogamy, which in essence and principle, particularly where it persists as an institution, I am against.

...only even to say I am against it is not correct. It suggests that I might only condone being in a relationship simultaneously with multiple person. I simply find it objectionable to enforce monogamy where it intersects with fear. The promise of the availability of that one person is facilitated in a relationship by a climate of ownership, which stipulates that it is improper to seek happiness with another person. If you want to build a strong relationshp with someone while working out your differences, that might be a worthy pursuit. However, one should not be languish in misery because they vowed to be with someone. We know relationships end all the time and with much heartache.

Of course, if you simply want to say
, that is understandable too. I suppose it is a question of how much is too much.

I can do without the jealousy... It's not cute and probably will lead to a lousy relationship.
