    Salute family - y'all know I don't create threads often, but it's my semi-annual thread starter time.:D

Ok, I'm going to suspend my usual ignant-azz persona and be serious, just for this thread....you guys may not recognize me for a moment.

How do you guys feel about jealousy? I know we've had threads about this before, but now we have new family on-board.

For example, if I was in a relationship, I would absolutely want my mate to have some jealously. I don't mean schizo-type jealousy. I mean, "Why-are-you-at-the-titty-bar-when-you-got-a-woman-at-home" jealousy....and no, I'm not interested in going to a titty-bar with my woman.

I'd go with a jump-off in a heartbeat, but not the woman I profess to be with for the rest of my life. I believe in boundaries in a marriage/relationship.

ThickShawty touched on it in another thread. I like that fact that a woman would take ownership over me and the relationship. I want her to get pissed if I look at another ass...yes fellas, I do. I want her to check-me if I get out of bounds.

Why? I'm a very undisciplined person and I do wreckless shit all the time. Hence, I'd appreciate a woman forcing me to button-up my collar and forcing me to reach my potential and live-out the values I proclaim to have....follow me???

Anywho, what's your thoughts on that family? Everybody has a different perspective.

Yea I think a lil bit of jealously in a relationship is healthy. I wouldn't want psycho shit like you said, but there is nothing wrong with caring enough to get jealous. It's when it gets controlling that it needs to be checked.

:smt029....that's exactly my point. If a female doesn't care that I'm out all night - then I better re-evaluate our status real quick.

Sounds like suspicion more than jealousy to me...and I dont like outward displays of jealousy, which I think some ppl like their mate to show.

    You'll have to elaborate.

Suspicion suggests you have something to be suspicious of, such as violating any boundaries that said man & woman have agreed upon.

This is exactly the reason why my wife gives me sort of lee-way to look and friendly shit talk with other females. Because my ass is at home doing what I should be doing when it comes to her and our kids and I'm not out with my boys in the clubs or bars getting into trouble.

That's the opposite of not asking what it means.

Is her jealousy a suspicion of your character, or is she just exhibiting fanciful emotion? Seems like the only reasons a woman might be jealous.
