I feel bad for him just because he's be ostracized for shit he said privately. Most of us on here could be kept from just based on shit we say here let alone things we say at home privately.

this guy was easily one of the top actors of his time

i probably seen all of his movies, but that last shit was the final straw. he actually came off as a threat to black people, by the way he was going off. people were getting killed and oppressed over those types of words and actions, which is what makes it so unacceptable.

That's a good way of looking at it, though if you want to split hairs, then the fact that he's a public figure means he doesn't have a right to privacy. I find that ridiculous, but the media pretty much runs this country, so....

I know I shouldn't feel bad for him being ostracized, but maybe it's because he clearly needs help? I don't know.

I should clarify that I don't want to feel bad for him.

if he ran off and killed a brotha that same night, then what

    :p

he was obviously on some flagrant shit, which is what really make people wonder about him. He was so full of anger.

I don't know if you heard ALL the tapes or just that one sound byte but the conversation had a lot more to do with his girl being ungrateful and taking advantage of him to jump start her wack ass music career. As a guy I can relate and more importantly I get the anger its just a lot less likely that someone would illegally wire tap me to show my bad moments. That shit was wrong.

And Book as far as being a public figure its one thing to invade your privacy at restaurants or other public places but invasion of your home and what goes on in there should be criminal.
You mean to tell me we should think its acceptable to never let people have any privacy just because they entertain us. I can't wait till someone is waiting in the girls from Miley Cyrus or Dakota Fanning and we'll see how ok people are wuth invasion of privacy.

Yes, agreed. And it's apparently not new, but now this stuff is finally leaking out. Maybe he doesn't have much control over it anymore? It's sad to see someone fall so far like he has done.

But what's happening to him now is no less than what he deserves for his behavior as of late.

I never said it was acceptable. I just said that that's how society works right now. The media just can do whatever the heck they want and no one is doing anything about it.

I think celebrities do have a right to privacy, absolutely. But when something like domestic violence comes up, I think any citizen loses their right to privacy in those matters.

As far as domestic violence is concerned there's no way we can say whether or not it happened. It could have been a situation where they we were both fighting and she didn't come out on tio or just look worst because he's bigger and stronger. To me the domestic violence everyone connects to is when a woman is trapped and can't leave. In this case its two spoiled pyschos beating on each other.

They played some sections of those tapes on the Radio and he did sound like a bitter hate filled/fueled man, what made me wonder was, why he didn't realise he was being recorded? surely it should have occurred to him that if there was no underlying reason for staying on the line, the woman would just hang up after the first burst of abuse.

I pity him for being a bloody Idiot, but I ain't crying no river for his loss of revenue, tough shit:smt045

That's a little unfair. How can person know they're being recorded especially if its someone uoi talk to reguarly.

You and Whoopie can defend this guy all day in fact his Russian wife was his mistress if I'm correct he cheated on his wife that he has been with for years and married his mistress. He deserve what he get's he not a nice guy. Anyone that hate Jews,Blacks, and cheats on his wife of many years than abuse the mistress he made his wife is not a good guy he's a asshole.

Does it matter how he was exposed? :smt017 At the end of the day he is an abusive, racist, anti-semetic jerk - whether a closet one, an open one or an exposed one.
