What is your relationship status?

I know it's more complicated when there are kids involved, so I don't know if that changes things, but look into getting your fees waived? That's what I did and I didn't pay a dime for my divorce. All I had to do was sign the papers and show up in court.

Or is it a problem of him not wanting to sign? My mom had that problem when she tried to divorce my dad, and really it's the only reason they ended up staying married. Cause without both signatures you -have- to get a lawyer, and that's where a lot of money comes in -_-

I completely feel ya. Idk I just hate the politics within a relationship, I mean whether people like to admit it or not you rarely see a couple where the power is distributed 50-50. Im just tired of the games.

My coworker came to work with a DIAMOND on her finger some days ago. Not that I care about diamonds, but wow :smt049

So, all my friends are taken/married/about to have kids/mum already.

I'm the only single woman I know, besides my mum.

Hmm...I'll look into getting the fees waived.

It's not a matter of him not wanting to sign, thank God for that.

Same here. I am a single man. All of my friends are married most w/ kids or expecting. Dating is interesting because being in my late thirties most of the women I date now are divorced, most have kids. I have never been married, no kids. I stick out among my close friends.

Yeah just call the courthouse and ask them about how to get the fees waived. I know if you earn a low enough income it can be lowered or knocked off completely, if your state is anything like my home state. I hope it works for you!!! I remember when I started to get my divorce I was so scared it would cost an arm and a leg, but because I was only working in a minimum wage job I could get the fees waived completely. With you, since you have a kid and are the primary caregiver, I'm sure that would allow you more income to still allow the fees to be knocked down, at least.

    Good luck darlin

I think from here on in, this smiley should officially be known as the "post-coital cig" and will automatically mean you just got laid. dont tell the boys. It can be girl code.
