    Maurice White is a legend. Earth Wind & Fire had some of the deepest lyrics and funkiest grooves known to man. Their style was impetuous, stage craft untouchable.

    LMAO, when I was in OZ, I inadvertently found him in a used music store and me and my BFF would park in a park near her house (so her parents couldn't hear), get high as heeell on weed, put his ''music' on and just laugh our asses off. Some of his stuff is just ridiculous! :mrgreen:

    Okay, this one leans more towards soul than funk per se, but it's Chaka Khan. :cool: One of the hottest tracks ever sung. Luther Vandross also had a smooth version of Papillon, I prefer Chaka's cover though.
