that's one of the problems with weed right now. People make GOOD money, from doing nothing but standing on a corner, selling that shit. The Bureaucratic process has no room for that. Mark my words...when it becomes legal, you will NOT be allowed to continue to distribute without some sort of license, only accessible by taxpaying stores.

    Curious.

Will California be ineligible for federal contracts because employers cannot guarantee a drug-free workplace?

Trust me there will be employees who will smoke pot during their breaks and lunch time.

    This is a lawyer's dream.

that's like saying an alcoholic (which is the extreme mind you), is subject to flask man-handling on his breaks. Any opposition to marijuana will be rebuffed by alcoholism.

I'm talking about opening up a store, foo'. lol I'm talking about selling a product I believe in, enjoy, and know a -lot- about. :D I'm a killer salesperson when I actually like the thing I'm selling. That's how I get a lot of drink upsells at work, cause I like the lemonade better than just regular ass drinks.

Also adding in a 24 hr delivery service (for a charge like dominos, of course, more after certain hours), having a whole host of products in various different forms, competitive pricing, even hire a buddy of mine to make my own signature strains...dude, I'd be rolling in it.

Yeah, I figure if weed was legal, it would just be sold where smokes and shit are sold, or where alcohol is sold. Most people would rather get it there than from some other person anyway, much less hassle. Then the government makes more money and all that crap, and people who kill each other over drug shit don't have as much of a reason anymore cause less people would buy from them anyway.

people cant use the morality of not using drugs when they have liqour and cigarettes being sold.

people do...but it's because they really don't know any better

society brainwashes us to a certain degree. if you can think for yourself, you may come out of it. I just know where I work, one of my directors used to have liquor on his breath. 3rd shifters and weekend workers be the same way, lol. But everything gets done, no one gets hurt, so we turn a blind eye.

assuming that legal weed usage, is going to cause people to come to work stoned isn't fair. i'm sure people can self-regular stoning, just like they can regulate that Jack not touching their lips until happy hour.

People that want to smoke weed will even if it was legal or not and those that dont may or may not. if a person smokes weed and become complacent then cool that means their asses at home and I can go get the job they could have had and they can eat all the twinkies they desire.

    Reefer Madness 2010 commences

honestly tho, I don't smoke it myself, or drink. Last time I had a beer was 6-7 months ago. But I do understand bullshit when I see it. It's just sad politicians and lawmakers peddle the same nonsense as if people are stupid.

    exactly

  18. I so agree. I don't smoke but I see no reason why it should be illegal. I think tobacco and alcohol are much worse.

Yes to all of this!!! Right on, Petty.

hmmm.. Ms. Elders is 77 years old, and is in support of legalization.. not a typical position for folks her age.. I wonder how many other seniors concur..
on a side note, I worry about the "backlash" against her statements. It was when she was Surgeon General during the Clinton era when she was interviewed at a United Nations conference about AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, and she made the remark that masturbation was "part of human sexuality" and should "perhaps be taught", and definitely preferable to STDs and teen pregnancy.. She was promptly thrown under a bus by the Clinton White House..
